Marketing Team

Post by OhCasAreWe » 04 Dec 2024, 17:07

Addition to the marketing team, which is one of our weaker areas in my opinion:

Good cv let's hope he turns things around in the marketing aspect we've been poor to say the least in that department

Absolutely superb appointment on the face of it.

This is a massive area we’ve always had weakness in.

Agree , and you pay for what you get . May cost more but should recoup all that and hopefully more in the long run.

Would love to see more marketing and billboards around the town and Glasshoughton. I used to love as a kid, the posters they would put up in shop windows and local chippies back in the late 90's/early 2000's. Something similar would be great and nostalgic.

how good it was when we had more kids coming down, flag waving paws and tiger tot and co whizzing round on their motor bikes, if our support is to carry on kids should be every clubs target

Easier said than done I'm afraid @gateman , with kick-off times often in the evening it makes it difficult for kids to come . We do have some Saturday and Sunday home games this season though which should help , although 3 of our Saturday games are 8pm kick-off .

This wont do at all! Going out and employing SQEP isnt our way! Surely there was a publican or butcher in the local area that fancied a crack at the job.

Jepson seems to bringing a long overdue air of profesionalism to the Club.

you are right mate, my two great grand kids attended the Catalan match, they loved every minute, their Mum will not let them go to night matches as its way past their bed time when they get home they live in Walton Wakefield, Sky KO times is slowly killing our game

This could be a masterstroke! I haven’t felt this positive about a staff appointment like this, in I don’t know how long. I really hope this is a sign of things to come from MJ. Finally we have someone who knows the value in appointing the right people with the right skillset. - Matt Ellis at Wakefield has made similar appointments & is reaping the benefits commercially.
I can’t believe the club haven’t made more of this to be honest.

This sounds like exactly what we needed. It’s great to see Jepson identifying our weaknesses and acting decisively to solve them. Hopefully it’s just the start of the club wide improvements we need.

Without Sky, our game would have died years ago. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you is my thoughts.
