Reckon the team for Hukl Kr at this moment will be.

Westerman
Rimbu

Horne

Robb

Hudson/Mustapha
Hope we don;t end up playing Westerman and Horne out of position and actually bring some props in. Horne did enough last year to get the 9 shirt and play in his proper position.

Think Horne will definitely be LF with Rimbu and Robb as Hookers
Only way I can see horne at Hooker is if Rimbu and Asi are starting half’s.

Agree , barring injuries or suspensions will be Rimbu and Robb in hooker role , with Horne at LF . I quite like the idea of Horne at LF tbh . I think he has capability to make breaks and backs up really well . His big problem is his tackling technique . He gets far too many suspensions , but hopefully Delaney can sort this and it's always handy to have extra cover at hooker just in case .

Liam Horne /Sylvester Namo / Tex Hoy / Daejarn Asi. /Zac Cini /Jeremiah Simbiken. /Judah Rimbu
If the report of Michael Carter working with the RFL in advising them about Salfords financial situation tyhen they will be selling players guaranteed. So there might be worth a look.
true & i dont wish Salford any harm, but they have been having success on money they didn't have & now they are deeper in debt yet they still sign players above their sustainability.

i doubt they will offload any players as year after year they get bailed out then continue to buy what they cant afford, the search for a prop forward continues?
By the sounds of the conditions imposed by the RFL in order to advance them their tv money payment then the decisions to offload players won’t be in their own hands.

Apparently we should have a better idea by the end of the week as to any player sales they will need to make . Interestingly they have just promoted a prop from their Academy/Reserve team to the first team . Maybe nothing to read into this , or perhaps they are preparing for the loss of some players .

Horne played plenty of loose forward down under before he came to us, he will hardly be out of position.

As for Westy as good as he has been at LF i’m afraid it was pretty obvious last year that he is starting to slow down and a move to the front row is a natural career progression. Having a prop with his handling skills and footwork could actually give us a very handy point of difference.

I’d like to think we would be prepared to make an offer for Brad Singleton & or Joe Bullock should Salford have to make any cuts as any move for Matty English, loan or otherwise, will have been dashed due to George Kings injury.

Kallum Watkins would be a good call too imo we are still low onsecond rowers.

Ahead of most second rowers in SL I'd take him like a shot

Say we do approach him, what would his terms be.
2 years 3 years, 3 years would take him to 36, 2 years 35.
Will he still be playing top of his game then.
Could he just put his feet up knowing he as at least 2/3 years money in the bank.

Imo offer him a one year deal with another year in the clubs favour.
Can’t see him going for that. From the clubs point of view that’s the most sensible option imo.

with our record of keeping players fit i wouldn't touch him with his past injuries, a great player who i have admired for some time & who i thought was treated bad by the rhinos, but its a no from me!

I wouldn't be against Watkins for a year or 2 to be honest. His partner is from Cas, so I think if it came to it, we would potentially be 1st in line for a crack at him plus the McGuire & Delaney link up.

He comes with bags of experience and is still cutting the mustard at 33. He went downhill for a while at Leeds and the change of scene at Salford seemed to rejuvenate his career. I just think we need a bit more experience and older heads in the pack this season for the younger lads in the team.

Hugo Salabio also released. Big non quota prop which is what people have been asking for, although Hull reported to be interested.
