Re: 2025 expectations
We did a lot better than many were predicting on
here for a mid ranging Championship side.
Not many if any of us would have a clue on how to improve performance, so as you say, enjoy the ride and don’t worry about what us ‘experts’ have to say.

Re: 2025 expectations
Don't see how we can be stronger when we have moved 6 or 7 forwards on from last year with only Hudson coming in for next year in the pack and our overseas signings are unproven at SL level. If we manage to bring in a few quality forwards before the season begins maybe things will look a bit more rosey.gateman wrote: ↑28 Nov 2024, 18:04Strange one that weaker than last year ?Sharlotiger wrote: ↑28 Nov 2024, 14:31 With the squad as it stands we will do well to finish 12th. The squad looks weaker if anything than last years and without some quality added to the pack it is going to be a long season.

Mate look who we let go, only Zakeman who wanted away performed anything like a super league player. any of the others hardly cut the mustard when called on to play in the first team . Macca who sadly the years are catching up with as been replaced by a young international PNG playerSharlotiger wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 14:30Don't see how we can be stronger when we have moved 6 or 7 forwards on from last year with only Hudson coming in for next year in the pack and our overseas signings are unproven at SL level. Maybe some of them were not good enough but they did a job filling in when needed, I had hoped for better options in the pack this coming season but up to now no t much movement and when the injuries come who will be the fill ins next year?gateman wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 17:26Mate look who we let go, only Zakeman who wanted away performed anything like a super league player. any of the others hardly cut the mustard when called on to play in the first team . Re: 2025 expectations
I think the key this year may be Delaney . He has proven himself as a top defensive coach . I also believe that (presuming Simbiken is coming) we still need at least 1 more prop . However , just tightening up our defence will make so much difference . In attack last season we averaged just under 16 points a game , which at the end of the day isn't good enough , but I think that our squad has improved for 2025 , and in Asi , Rimbu , Hoy , Horne , Wood and Cini , we have the potential to score more points next year . If Delaney can strengthen the defence then we could go much better than we think .
