Shame they take so long and keep everyone in the dark. I’ve cancelled my booking for Newcastle in August and can’t do May. Suspect I’ll not be alone

I also suspect that there will be plenty that couldn't do August but are glad of the change to May

Of course. My point wasn’t about personal inconvenience I was talking about the perennial lack of long term planning by the RFL. There’s no reason why they prat about year in year out on stuff that should be fixed much further in advance

Really? 7 months notice isn't enough for you? I'd understand if they had said magic weekend was guna be first game of season. Also who books to stay at an event before said event date has even been announced. Which month have you booked for Catalan away?

Fine. I’m clearly in a minority on here. Suppose I got used to being able to book up for Grand Finals, Cup Finals well in advance for so many years.
Lots of people do book well in advance btw and cancel if things don’t work out, which is what I’ve now done anyway.Just trying to make a point that it would be good for fans and for the game if there could be a bit more notice of future events, particularly if we want to see fuller grounds for events like Magic Weekend and mid season internationals. Just my view. Wasn’t expecting the inquisition

Brilliant. Makes the weekend even more inviting. Can’t wait for it to come, especially being back in Newcastle.
