Re: Ryan Hampshire
So the story is:
Ryan Hampshire signs for a SL not called Castleford?

Re: Ryan Hampshire
He's been a back up player everywhere he's been n never held down a position at any club. I hope we don't sign him as he's getting to end of his career now and hasn't had the greatest injury record.
CLASSY CAS FOREVER
Re: Ryan Hampshire
He is 30 in December, but according to his agent Craig Harrison has another 10 years???
Hope he is going back to Belle Vue, Powell loves a young prospect, and is building a team of veteran journeymen again, he can go there and won’t be keeping any youngsters out of the team as Powell doesn’t play them anyway.

Re: Ryan Hampshire
That’s rubbish, he’s given debuts to probably seven or eight youngsters this season.Wallystar wrote: ↑05 Sep 2024, 18:19 He is 30 in December, but according to his agent Craig Harrison has another 10 years???

Re: Ryan Hampshire
He will against part time opponents, wait until your playing against full time teams!
Re: Ryan Hampshire
You’re only playing Amateurs on Sunday. ( Amateurs are sportsmen that don’t get paid ) He should be playing at least four!
Re: Ryan Hampshire
Don't want him journey man squad number that's all he is.

Re: Ryan Hampshire
Might just be worth a 2 yr deal on a low to mid deal, as cover for halves and FB……and even Wing, Now milky has left especially…?

He seems happy to be at Wigan playing the odd game now and again

Bit of a backwards step if you ask me.

I'd rather staple my eyelids to a pigeon than have him.

Re: Ryan Hampshire
Solid squad player able to cover the complete back line, played well for us before his unfortunate injury, as a squad player he would do a job for us.
I mean if there are a load of other players available who don't require a quota spot who can do the same and are better than Rocky then I'd be interested to know who they are??

Re: Ryan Hampshire
Think we are covered at fullback with Hoy, Rooney, and Hooley who can all play there. Add Cini and Asi who can also (but will be needed elsewhere).
Covered on the wing too imo with Senior x2, QQ, Sims, Cini who can all play there and probably better options than Hampshire.
Definitely need another half back though as I don't Wndley is ready to step up regularly yet. Can't really see any other viable options tbh honest unless it's a season long loan of a back up half from another SL team or taking a punt on a championship player (Lacans from Feath or Shorrocks from Toulouse maybe).
Hampshire sounds the best option.
