Re: New signing, retention?
I’ve no inside info whatsoever but from what I’ve read I think we will have
Asi
Rimbu
Quota prop
And fingers crossed I’ve a feeling matty English may be back.
Then 2 or 3 squad/project players
As I said this is just my opinion not based on any hard facts

We need a front line second row as well to replace El Zakhem.Castiger2017 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 17:05 I’ve no inside info whatsoever but from what I’ve read I think we will have

And will that be enough to be competitive next season? The Firm wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 17:24We need a front line second row as well to replace El Zakhem.Castiger2017 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 17:05 I’ve no inside info whatsoever but from what I’ve read I think we will have

Re: New signing, retention?
With other teams strengthening it's going to be tough . We should have a better squad than last year but whether that will be enough to finish higher than 10th remains to be seen .Sharlotiger wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 17:36And will that be enough to be competitive next season? The Firm wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 17:24We need a front line second row as well to replace El Zakhem.Castiger2017 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 17:05 I’ve no inside info whatsoever but from what I’ve read I think we will have

The real positive though is the Category A grading . With (hopefully) another 0.125 for big screen and 0.25 for MJ investment still to come in 2025 , we should be able to maintain our Category A grading and this, together with investemnt from MJ and perhaps others, will put us in a much better position for player recruitment going forward .
I think we should really be hoping to see major improvement on the pitch , if not next season , then from 2026 onwards .

Re: New signing, retention?
Agreed but No more quota places if we get an overseas prop in so not sure what’s about in uk.also need a back up half back as windley looked promising but nowhere near ready yet.whoever we go for our quota players have to be frontline 1st 17 players we can’t waste them on squad fillers like we have in last few yearsThe Firm wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 17:24We need a front line second row as well to replace El Zakhem.Castiger2017 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 17:05 I’ve no inside info whatsoever but from what I’ve read I think we will have

Re: New signing, retention?
Maybe Hampshire to cover At FB if we need Hoy to move into Half’s.
Hudson meant to be coming back but he’s always injured.
Matty English on loan for season
We need another centre as well as cover for Wood and Cini rumours are Roberts from Leeds.
Wouldn’t mind the 2nd rower from saints Sam Royal as cover for Mellor and Lawler.
Think that’s best we can hope as players who won’t be starters.
Hopefully from 26 we will see some cracking signings. Depending on who Jepson gets to run club with him.

Re: New signing, retention?
If rumours are true over the years Rocky might price himself out of what we could pay for a back up player be useful if we could get him tho.
Re: New signing, retention?
Getting boring now looks like no announcements again.
Maybe we will just find out first game of season when squads announced.

Re: New signing, retention?
Haven't we still got Simm and Hodson to cover the centres without bringing in another three quater that isn;t good enough?Like the idea of San Royal if he hasn't got fixed up yet.Mucky1978 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 18:18 Maybe Hampshire to cover At FB if we need Hoy to move into Half’s.

Re: New signing, retention?
Yes. Still got Simm who I believe is fired up and ready to go. Been working hard since his injury and is in fine form. He'll be in there with a shout for a place there's no doubt about it.
Re: New signing, retention?
I’ve spoken to them and at the time we were out with forecasted grading
By the way You’re not very well liked on here are you l I’ve heard that you ask regularly if folks have played the game, who they are etc. like you’re some kind of authority or hard man.
Really you’re neither . Best thing you can do is use the foe button like you advised that you were.
Oh hang on, Clearly you ARE a stalker…anyway you’re foe’d from this side and I think you’re a sad never been who has delusions of grandeur. Possibly has a personality defect too

Moderators, is there anything you can do to. take this two sided personal bile off please? A bit of banter is fine. This is just getting offensive.Mysterio wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 21:04I’ve spoken to them and at the time we were out with forecasted grading

Re: New signing, retention?
Talk of Roberts going to Leigh. Which is good as we don’t need another three quarter.

Re: New signing, retention?
That’s a new one on me too to say he has played so many games in nrl.
Has he been linked with a move over here or just a bit of wishful thinking
Re: New signing, retention?
Jack Hughes I’d be ok with for 12 months.
Re: New signing, retention?
He’s been touted for a move to super keague. Leeds were linked before they opted for Cooper Jenkins instead.Castiger2017 wrote: ↑29 Oct 2024, 10:04That’s a new one on me too to say he has played so many games in nrl.
