[Signing] George king
Re: [Signing] George king
Is it the same as Watts when he left Hull?
Re: [Signing] George king
No I don’t want another old journeyman that is keeping young props out of the team and gaining valuable experience this season, and then we can’t get rid of when he is past it. He has not set the world on fire anywhere he played previously, what makes him great now he is 29.
Would rather have younger players who will be around for longer.

Re: [Signing] George king
Over Kings time at HKR I think he as been one of the best props in SL, seems strange they are willing to let him go and it could be down to his injury woes this season , so could be a risky signing.Wallystar wrote: ↑22 Apr 2024, 17:47 No I don’t want another old journeyman that is keeping young props out of the team and gaining valuable experience this season, and then we can’t get rid of when he is past it. Sums our club up, sign him to a 2/3yr deal and play 2-/3 games be about right for our recent track record with singingsSharlotiger wrote: ↑22 Apr 2024, 19:56Over Kings time at HKR I think he as been one of the best props in SL, seems strange they are willing to let him go and it could be down to his injury woes this season , so could be a risky signing.Wallystar wrote: ↑22 Apr 2024, 17:47 No I don’t want another old journeyman that is keeping young props out of the team and gaining valuable experience this season, and then we can’t get rid of when he is past it. Re: [Signing] George king
Where’s this notion that King is a particular injury risk? After a short injury lay off he played his 6th game of the season at the weekend, hardly terrible. He played 30 games last year and 28 the season before. Not exactly injury prone. He’s a good player at a good age. It might well be that HKR just want his cap space for a particular signing.Sharlotiger wrote: ↑22 Apr 2024, 19:56Over Kings time at HKR I think he as been one of the best props in SL, seems strange they are willing to let him go and it could be down to his injury woes this season , so could be a risky signing.Wallystar wrote: ↑22 Apr 2024, 17:47 No I don’t want another old journeyman that is keeping young props out of the team and gaining valuable experience this season, and then we can’t get rid of when he is past it. who heard about this rumour and is it still likely?
Re: [Signing] George king
Sure Wilson will be working his magic with both Hull clubs for a forward.

Castleford Tigers have secured another new face ahead of their game with London Broncos, with Wigan Warriors prop Sam Eseh joining the club.
