what ever will be will be with the IMG points system the lower funded clubs will be looking over their shoulders year in and year out wondering if a lower league club as gained enough points to take their place as now 15 points is the top score as more clubs gain this the goal posts will be moved, making clubs chase their tails , if we were relegated and our long awaited stand was erected we would be in a good position to jump straight back in
You’re spot on gateman. But…..
Isn’t that what IMG is all about though? A constant year on year improvement, no sitting back and relaxing, no complacency. As much as I dislike franchises and the loss of P&R I actually think IMG’s blue print is quite innovative

Agree pal especially till the stand is build Toulouse if they fail will only apply again next year when there is no Wakefield to compete with and they will get points if they win more competitions in lower leagues so it will be same next year

In his latest podcast interview, Martin Jeoaon said the club had used a small amount of he council money on work undertaken at the railway end of the ground.
If that’s true, who has paid for the seats in the PSS?

I wondered that my self.
I thought that the money used for the PSS was from the council.

Enough people on here said we’d only used he council money, maybe they know how it was paid for?

Doesn't anyone know how any of the clubs around us have improved their scores? Leigh Salford Wakey n Toulouse? And are Hull fc in danger of dropping pts if they end u bottom?
Hi jackknife , unfortunately the way the system works , nobody will know for sure how many points each team has scored until the final IMG points table is revealed for 2024 in October (23rd I think)
We can see some things eg attendances and league positions , but I'm afraid things like Fandom and finances etc aren't something we know how well other teams are performing on .
All we can really do is make sure we score as high as possible as the one thing we do know is that if we score 15 points or more , we become a Category A club and are guaranteed SL status for the following season.
Cheers 5men, I was referring to any other clubs doing anything like what we are building seats, big screen ect.
Ah I see. DB has said Leigh are in for another 2.5 pts for their finances , in which case they could be Cat A at the end of the season . No one seems to know about Toulouse or how they have scored so highly in the first place . A few messages on forum mentioned an article saying it's between us and them for 12th spot , but reading article it just seemed to be going on last year's score and not taking into account that we could have an extra point for Stadium improvements , plus potential 0.5 for attendance , not to mention big screen (0.125 points and now fitted) or MJ investment (0.25points) and didn't really mention where Toulouse may improve either . Wakey seem to be quite bullish that they will get in and that seems to be the consensus in the media as well , although that may depend on them getting the 0.35 bonus points for winning GF and 1895 Cup. Salford is a tricky one again . They seem to have their stadium sorted for the foreseeable future now and they were a little ahead of us at the start of this season , as were Huddersfield .
it may well come down to us or Toulouse in the end .
Like others I didn't realise that the 1895 and championship grand final points are added in bulk this season instead of averaged like other performance points, but conversely does that also mean they won't be counted in the 2025 points? Which will be a big drop in performance points for the following season?
Hi Captain .
That's correct . They only count for the current season . If Wakey get them this season they wouldn't count for next season .

Congratulations to Leigh and Salford after being awarded academy licences. It's been a focus for both clubs and this news is good for the game, as well as the clubs.
Will this add to their pts if so how much?

No, nothing in the criteria as far as academies and producing your own players.

With our declared attendances we now need an average of 7255 for each of our remaining 4 home games

Those games are against:
Catalans
Warrington
Leigh x 2
I think we can do it with an offer on for the Catalan game

Catalan being on a Sunday should help and as Fumper says an offer for this one would be great with a bit of luck we might pack the ground out

Agree , especially if Leigh and Warrington still have something to play for when they play us .

It’s ironic that we think Sunday afternoon would boost the attendance and on the last poll of fans they said they prefer Sunday afternoons. Despite that the club insist on playing virtually all home matches on Friday nights, which IMO is not great for families with young kids who are the next generation of supporters, not to mention working fans who have a distance to travel.Sky was the excuse but it is just that, an excuse because all the games are on Sky now, whenever they are played.
At the very least the club could be a bit more flexible next year and find out what really suits the fans rather than club staff.
