Glad for the lad, and hopefully he can get on with what he does best. He's definitely improved this season, and with his future sorted I hope he can be consistent 👍🐯

Pleased with this - now, can we just have a word with referees so they don’t ignore all the late hits he gets with nowt done about it please?

Happy with this, he’s earned it. Got his confidence and form back, still only 25 with his best years to come and a good goal-kicker as well. Genuine competition for places can only be a good thing.

Come on leaps and bounds going forward credit where it’s due but ultimately can not tackle and always a target for the opposition, Not as impressed as most.

This time last year I’d have agreed with you but his defence has really improved this year

He missed a tackle on Sunday that led to a try, look I’m not gonna slate the lad in general because I do agree with what a lot of people are saying, he has improved, he has looked better, confidence is on the up but theres 2 sides of ball and I just believe no matter what he will always be a target and always be responsible for giving away east points.

Do you even watch the game? DR is one of the best defending halves in the comp. Never shirks a challenge

I don’t have any stats apart from my own eyes/memory but I’d wager Danny has less missed tackles this season than a lot of our squad - there are a hell of a lot worse defending halves in SL than Danny.

“We’re going to have some options in the halves next year, it gives us different styles in that position and if this year has proved anything, to have as many options there as we possibly can is important."

Interesting comment from LR right at the end of the article. We know Trueman's gone so that leaves Richardson and GOB I believe as our only recognised halves. Looks like there are more plans in place that lend credence to the Miller and / or Widdom rumours.

Richardson has done well since his return. Looks confident and looks to be playing with more resilience than previously. Hopefully that all continues.

My only real concern is the amount of half backs we potentially have on contract and the capacity that leaves to improve the pack.

Widdop, Miller, Richardson, O Brien and Mclelland seems overkill to me.

It worries me that we aren't getting linked with any established forwards but rather cheap options with potential, like Wallace and Mustopha (onviously added to the resigning of Griffin and signing of Mellor).

All feels a bit off balance to me with potentially too much money been tied up in some fairly average half backs and utility backs.
