Re: Mustapha to cas ?
I haven’t checked the record books but we had some good years in the 80s and 90s bearing in mind the significant advantage Wigan had by being full time. Three great coaches, Reilly , van de Velde and Raper and trophies including Challenge Cup and Regal Trophy not to mention amazing players. It can be done!Derbyshiretiger wrote: ↑05 Aug 2022, 11:56 I just think we are heading back towards bigger teams pulling away again like the 80s and 90s. Salary cap was brought in to level the playing field. Now with marquee signings etc I think the gap will open again. I know there's the argument that only 4 teams (I think)have won the comp since its Inception but can only see the gap getting wider again.
Re: Mustapha to cas ?
We have now announced the Leeds reject.
Re: Mustapha to cas ?
1 year with option to extend in our favour.
Another squad prop which doesn't improve our 17.

You've basically just said the same, if hes long term replacement for Massey then thats not this year so hes a squad prop in your opinion aswell.

Re: Mustapha to cas ?
The question was in relation to last season.
Not when we signed him.
As for Mustapha he's a young lad in need of encouragement.
How many young props have cut the mustard certainly no big Will yet we persisted with him.
So Jackknife rather than answering a question about now as opposed to several seasons ago.

Ok do you think Mustapha improves our starting 17 next season?casjunction wrote: ↑04 Oct 2022, 16:23 The question was in relation to last season.
yes i thought he improved our starting 17 last season although he wasn't his best i still thought he offered more than the player that missed out for him

Re: Mustapha to cas ?
Still waiting an answer to my question.
Answering a question with a question.
Nice avoidance tactic.
As to will he improve our starting 17
Compared to the last few seasons an improvement on Mr Watts who is a liability with his discipline.
Over to you.

@casjunction you seem to be taking this very personal the fact that in my opinion Mustapha is a squad player n not a starting prop, do you know him personally or something like that?

Take a lie down in a dark room.
Whoops missed the bold type which of course is so important.
Repeatedly getting banned is no a positive.
But that just my opinion.
