Re: [Match Discussion] Wakefield up next
I dont think tonight is a given for Cas by any means, these guys are gonna be scrapping for everything now in desperation to stay up, and despite being bottom they still have players that can hurt you.
Add to that its a Derby, I think this has all the ingredients of a classic game of RL.
Fingers crossed we come out on top, but I think it will be nip and tuck...........................

Is it due to rain tonight? BBC showing only 25% chanceheritage1926 wrote: ↑29 Jul 2022, 11:42 This rain and wet weather is the only thing that could be their saving grace this evening. They have to throw everything they've got at us and I don't even think that's good enough to beat us.
If they lose to us tonight and Toulouse beat FC it's curtains for them. Toulouse also play KR next week who are again missing 10+ players. That would be a 4 point gap with a superior points difference. Wakey aren't winning 3 more games this season. It would be Sweet Caroline for them.

We hammered them 34-4 at their place earlier in the season. The first time in 7 year they were favourites going in to it, when they were on the back of a 4 game winning streak and were above us in the table. They are in a much worse position now.westyorkylad wrote: ↑29 Jul 2022, 12:10 I dont think tonight is a given for Cas by any means, these guys are gonna be scrapping for everything now in desperation to stay up, and despite being bottom they still have players that can hurt you.

Better Wakey teams than the one they've announced have tried to beat us and come away empty handed, nothing changes tonight

Other than the 'classic' tag, I agree.westyorkylad wrote: ↑29 Jul 2022, 12:10 I dont think tonight is a given for Cas by any means, these guys are gonna be scrapping for everything now in desperation to stay up, and despite being bottom they still have players that can hurt you.

I am often accused of being a pessimist, and at best I myself can never raise to anything higher that cautiously optimistic, so it will come as no surprise to learn that I am a little worried about this one.
Wakey pushed saints all the way last week and that is never an easy task.
When you throw in the timescales since they last beat us, every game is a game closer to when they win again and these things often come when you least expect it.

I'm hoping for a golden point win tonight, think that would break them

It's not a bad squad at all. Still going to be a very, very tough game, wakey players playing for bread and butter now.old cas lass wrote: ↑29 Jul 2022, 18:36 Mamo

Hull fc beating Toulouse 16 6.
That’s an insensitive for wakefield.
Need to be on our toes tonight.

Re: [Match Discussion] Wakefield up next
Miller is killing us, but we haven't turned up.
Re: [Match Discussion] Wakefield up next
Listening on the radio, not sure if Wakey are playing well or we are playing crap. Probably both I think.
Re: [Match Discussion] Wakefield up next
Utter garbage. Believing our own hype.
Re: [Match Discussion] Wakefield up next
Were crap. Truly horrendous.
Right edge defence is a joke, probably shows the difference Mellor has made there to be honest.
