I used to like shaul, not been same after injury. He'd only play when Evalds n O'brien are both missing. Think we should be using any cap space we have on a half back imo

Would give the chance for Gaz to slot back into halfback when’s he’s fit so I’d be happy with him till the end of the season.

No thanks. Lost the one part of his game that made him stand out, his pace. Looks a bit of a plodder now.

Not for me.

Personally I'd rather go with Mamo or Eden at full back, always found Shaul to be one dimensional and injuries have probably taken there toll on that dimension (pace)

Same as whats wrong playing Mamo anywhere, total liability defensively

Not really an issue with with this as a fill in to help out for a couple of months whilst we have several injuries. Certainly wouldn’t want him any longer though.

I think mamos main problem in defence is his decision making at centre on who he should be tackling, you dont really have that problem at full back.

It was rumoured that Mamo came to Cas on the agreement that he would be a centre as he doesn’t want to play wing or full back.

From Aaron Bower on Twitter;
Castleford did make a late push for Jamie Shaul but told Wakefield had pretty much agreed terms with him by then and Shaul wanted to honour the agreement. Good boost for Trinity ahead of the run-in. They desperately needed more in the spine and Shaul needs to play so win-win
Sounds like we were waiting to see how bad Evalds shoulder was and left it too late.

Shows the ambition of the player if he’d rather go to bottom of league than a team fighting to get in the play offs
