Saw a discussion on twitter and one of the points were that people were moaning like mad at all the cards getting handed out now, that got changed and now people are moaning that they're not getting given, can't have it both ways

And I think that's a fair point tbh

Famine or feast is not the answer, just common sense. Players were getting 10 mins, and more, for connecting with the heads of falling players, unable to adjust their defensive technique. Now you got mobile guillotines running around tryin g to take folks heads off.

I agree mate. But for a referee to miss incidents that lead to a 4-match ban is inexcusable.

The refs have done a complete about turn and gone from one extreme to the other in a matter of weeks

Without Mamo for this one his position will be hard to fill Chesne as failed to impress is Turner still out ? why not give Olpherts a go , i can not think of anyone else except James Clare

Regarding the Smithies cheap shot incidents, there wasn't just Childs who missed em (or turned a blind eye)there were two linesmen also which makes it more unbelievable that the incidents weren't seen by any of the officials, which has resulted in a 4 game ban for the scrote. If the pie eaters had been down to 12 men, I think Huddersfield win the cup..

I was just making a general point but yes I do agree he has to be held accountable for missing these(aswell as the cosplaying air traffic controller's)

Technically, the officials didn't miss a thing as a penalty was called. Hence there'll be no recourse for any of them and in particular Mr Childs who would tie the RFL up in knots if they tried.

Unless it was a result of being biased, or they just bottled it, their total incompetent cost Giants dearly.
Child and the other officials must realise that they look stupid when, at a major televised game, they allow a grub like Smithies to get away with direct contact with the head (x2) by giving only a penalty which subsequently resulted in a 4 game ban.
FWIW, my opinion is that all the officials just bottled it.

And Yates? he deserved his 10 minutes in the stand as well

Its nowt to do with us and we will either benefit from Smithies being banned or we will suffer and miss out on the penaltys and set restarts he gives away.

Still think we can beat em

We could also lose players with a HIA, best he don’t play.

The team that should have benefitted from Smithies cheap shots are Huddersfield. He's obviously been found guilty of said offences, and if the officials had been on their game, he should have been sat down for 10mins at least once and possibly red carded for the 2nd cheap shot. Huddersfield would have won I believe.
What do you think about the next time Huddersfield play Wigan, then Wigan should only play with 12 players??
