Love to see the back of this lot, what exactly do they bring to the game… they are a nonentity club. They haven’t won a thing in over 50 years, one Yorkshire Cup apart. A ground that ensures ours isn’t the worst in the league and a very poor fan base. Can’t imagine they’d be missed by any significant number of rugby fans

Got to be on the last on their nine lives either this season or next. I recon they will just stay up this year but 2023 will be the real test. Either Fev or Leigh both have the will and benefactor to outspend Wakey to avoid the drop. Also the loan of 3.1 million will have to start been paid off soon.

I think if they escape this years drop 2022 they will escape the following year 2023 as the year after 2024 is likely to be a 14 team SL if rumours are correct.

Depends which rumours you listen to. I’ve heard more say that two league of 10 is coming as awful as that sounds.

A big 2 weeks coming up
Wakefield - HKR(a), Sts (h), Cas (a)
Toulouse - Salford (h), Hull (h)

After that very looking tough fixtures for both and Toulouse have a lot away

SKY will love it!

It was painful and pitiful listening to the biased commentator.

Reckon there’s a twist or two yet but this weekend has been a real blow for them. We need to make sure we keep twisting the knife in a couple of weeks. We owe them.

Yeah, this is a tough week now, dropping to bottom and Saints this week.
I didn't expect Toulouse to win and even then expected Wakey to get something against Hull KR.

We've been there before, when it starts to go bad it is really difficult to pull it round, people play nervous and play worse.

Tbf theve lost twice to Toulouse I think from memory there was a game against Salford they should have won as well its very tough for them now having to beat Saints or Cas in there next two matches

I think that would be the beginning of the end for the professional game if it happens and with only 8 U.K. based teams in the top flight, also the end of any pretensions that we may have of being a top 4 international team.

If Wakey do go down what is the chances of the £3.15 million loan ever getting paid back to the council? Could it be that Michael Carter has played the council into getting the ownership of Belle Vue and a stadium upgrade without paying a penny? A massive gamble forfeiting SL status for a season against a 3 million loan pay-off. The 8 million from Yorkcourt is in the bag whatever league Wakey are in.
