Mamo also patted young Martyn on the head when he dumped him in touch at the end

Maybe the squad don’t want to be seen as happy clappers…..?
Mamo is certainly a key piece for motivation and fan Interaction. Hes always one of first to congratulate a player on a good play and he's always the player who will stay out after the game and take photos with every fan that wants them. I like the guy a lot.

Has anyone asked the question - why did Sts field a weakened team?

I seem to remember that in the past, clubs have had to explain themselves for this kind of thing.

I find it hard to believe that Sts have so many injuries that they had to leave nearly the whole of their first team squad out. You could say that they cheated the public who pay good money to watch Super League players, not under 23s

Surely this could be construed as bringing the game into disrepute?!

I think your rate orrsome, and I bet they all miraculously get rid of their injuries for the semi final. If my memory serves me well, clubs have had substantial fines for fielding weakened teams prior to such games.

I dont get this weakened team rubbish the coach decides who his strongest/fittest team is for each game. All those players are signed on for a reason to be in the squad when needed. It should be the coaches perogative to select who he wants from the squad and no body should be able to question him.

Did Cas pick up fines for playing weakened teams last year prior to our important CC ties?

Seems to ring a bell does that Sharlo, but I'm not 100%. Also as jackknife suggests the coach should be able to play which players he wants, but I'm sure fines used to be dished out for clubs playing so called weakened teams..

I know it's a different scenario but I'm sure Cas got fined for not social distancing on the team bus after the final and saints didn't, even though there were pictures of saints players obviously not social distancing on their team bus after the final.

Saints don't really lose anything in the battle for top spot losing to us and Toulouse do they, it is pretty simple.

We couldn't win last night really, unless we tonked them off the park by 50. I am happy with 6 points over Easter. Particularly with Catalan next up.

It was a no win situation last neet even though we did, but 3 outa 3 we all should be happy with.

I agree but they chose to field a severely weakened team which, if not due to injuries, should not be allowed as it cheats the paying public and IMO is contrary to the spirit of the game.

Sts should be held to account for bringing the game into disrepute.

Thats what back up players are there for, waiting for their chance. Would you pick him n if so who would you swap him for?
I absolutely wouldn’t be picking him but someone who’s the highest paid player at the club shouldn’t be just back up. Arguably the worst business we have done in the last 10 year.

How much does Blair earn? How does this compare to our other top players (McShane, Evalds, Watts, Westerman, etc)?

We played the same game last year when Powell prioritised getting to Wembley and we weren’t fined,
just humiliated by the likes of Leeds and Salford

Radford never made him a top earner n i doubt he'll extend his contract without him taking a cut, He was bought as a centre and hes about 5th choice centre now with his best chance of a game been in the back row but hes stil about 4th choice at that so will just have to wait his turn i guess.

I would imagine he's up there with the highest earners one of the worst bits of buisness we've done in recent times

I imagine the same but @MrRugby123 stated as fact he was the top earner. I was intrigued as to how they knew such was true.
