[Match Discussion] Leeds Easter Monday

Post by Swagger » 16 Apr 2022, 00:37

So..... what changes do you expect to see? If any at all if all 17 came through injury free.....

Kenny Edwards had a slight limp but I'm hoping that wasn't nothing major as he had his best game in our colours on Thursday.

Apart from that I'd like to think all 17 can go again then maybe rest up some vs Saints.

Hope we can get another 10k+ attendance which will be 3 in 4 games.

If we can’t get 10,000+ for a 3pm game against Leeds on Easter Monday, a result that could put Leeds bottom of the table at the end of the day, there’s something wrong!!

It’s lined up well for us after Thursday’s win:

- we’re at home
- confidence is high after the WT win
- there is good news in the air regarding stadium development
- Leeds snatched defeat from the jaws of victory vs Fartown
- they had an elongated, stressful and disappointing end to their game
- if we win & Toulouse beat their visitors HKR (who have a day less of recovery & a flight to deal with) Leeds will sit rock bottom on Easter Monday evening.

Massive game. Can’t wait!!

If JT would have been ok to play on Monday I'd have liked to have seen him back in the centre to partner Eden, but unfortunately that isn't going to happen, so I'd roll with the same 17 as we had for the game over the common on Thursday neet. As for the attendance I'm confident of 10k, even though a lot of people seem to have gone away. Bring em on and let's hope they're holding up the league come Monday neet 🤞🐯COYF

Doubt Milner will play.
He’s got a right gash on his knee.
Would be surprised.

I'd love this to be right Mucky but I'll be very surprised if it's this big of a hiding. I think it could be closer than previous meeting.
Both teams will be tired. Plenty of tries for both?

Can’t see Leeds putting in a 80 min performance.
That extra 10 mins they played in the hudds game will have taken a lot of juice out of the tank, especially with only a 2 day turn around for them..
We should run out well winners, especially in the last 15 mins.

Just have to see how the players settle down (and todays disciplinary if any) - although no bans apply for Monday it may impact to play someone if they will miss out Friday (when Lawler is back too).

Just nice to see JJB spending yesterday in SKY summary studio - thought he could have utilise his prep time better

Agree, a much tighter game as I expect plenty of scoring though by both sides but think we will edge them out by about 6. Will be a great game for the neutral.....and ourselves, I hope, after 80 minutes.

Quite a number of players missing from this one which is concerning. Walker, Fusitua, Newman, Sezer, Myler, Holroyd, Walters, Johnson, Edwards.

From Leeds forum.... at least these missing they are saying.

For us I think maybe only Edwards and Milner carry knocks. Edwards was a slight limp so hopefully nothing too much. Milner is a nice gash to the knee but hopefully could still play if stitched up and bandaged.... find out in an hour or so whos in the 21.

Hope the weather will be like this Monday afternoon.

We put in a massive effort first 60 odd minutes at Wakey if we can back that up we will win but it's hard to predict what effect the short turnaround will have on the two teams

Is the squad announcement delayed due to the short turn around.
