How do you know that’s not the plan?

I think your rate gateman, get these 2 winnable games out of the way and give the lads with not much game time so far a play what you see in front of you game plan, and who knows 😉 🐯COYF

I agree.
We won’t beat saints.
Let’s see what the fringe players have got.

Hope the Loiners are ruined by golden point extra time.
We looked very strong against another poor Wakefield side. As dominant as we were, it didn't feel like we got of second gear. I'm hopeful no injuries or suspensions.
Really pleasing win.
Mcshane, Westerman, Mikner and Edwards were very good. Potential banana skin avoided.
17 in a row.

If Carlsberg did condescending posts laced with irony…..

Consider yourself chastised Tigers1926…!

I’m confident LR will select a team for Saints that he believes will deliver and take into account:

- what is best for the players’ welfare considering the demands of the Easter period
- who is available & who is carrying injuries, knocks, tweaks
- the fact we travel to Catalans the following weekend which could be a tougher (or as tough) gig than Saints
- a team sheet that has a fighting chance of securing 2 points at home
- the performance will be in the full glare of SKY viewers & other countries (pride at stake)

The coaching staff will be clearer on everything after today’s game - which I’m looking forward to immensely. Perfect weather for it 👍

I do ST, but the subject is 3 games in 8 days, and those are my thoughts, and the reason why we have a big squad. Your rate regarding knowing more about the players after today's game, as we seem to be resting some after Thursdays game. Let's get today's game out of the way and hopefully we'll have a smile on our faces come 5 o'clock 🐯COYF

The sooner the Easter pile up ends the better. Both teams looked fatigued today, leading to a very poor spectacle.

It does the image of the game some harm. Not good for player welfare.

RFL incompetence.

So, with improved fitness levels, nutritional advice, training and physio services, modern players cant do two shifts in a week?

My God, the older players must be wondering how hard it is to play these days...

Three matches in 8 days was no problem in the late 1940s, in fact most teams played 3 matches in 4 days at Christmas and again at Easter. In fact in 1947 Cas played 3 games in 3 consecutive days at Christmas in 1947 losing 4-13 at Wakefield on Christmas Day a Thursday, beat Featherstone 13-11 at home on Boxing Day and beat Hull FC 10-7 at home the following day a Saturday. No interchanges in those days either.

In the following year they won all 3 matches in 4 days at Christmas beating Wakefield 13-7 on Christmas Day, Featherstone away 15-10 at home two days later, and Oldham 9-7 at home on the 28th. Admittedly Cas finished 19th in the League that season, but let’s not forget they were part-timers also.
