Tbh we need to concentrate on the league
This.
Maybe in a better position to go for the Challenge Cup next year.
This season we need to put all our efforts into not getting relegated.
Realistically we’re not going to win it anyway.

I didn't think we'd get to the final last year and we did. Had we played another team other than Saints, we'd be CC winners right now. More emphasis should be put on it, now that realistically, it's the only chance of silverware we have and we have a favourable tie.

Powell produced a coaching masterclass to get the win at Warrington in the semi then nearly repeated it at Wembley with a team some of whom hadn't played for weeks I can't see similar happening this season but it would be nice to knock Leeds out next week

Well, looking at that Leeds ‘performance’ tonight I’m definitely fancying us next weekend. Their 2 ‘superstar’ halves have zero clue what to do in the opposition 20.

Well, Leeds look absolutely dire tonight.
Get our defence and discipline sorted and we should pip them.
Could be with out a couple due to sin binning, let’s see.

Pretty sure we will make them look a whole lot better next week like we have with several other sides.

great to have a cup run but the league should be our main aim, we do not need any red or yellow cards and certainly no injuries if we have to choose staying in the league or going to London the league all day long for me

The cup is only 4 games and finishes by mid season. If our players can't cope with that then there's something wrong.
For me we should go all put on CC this year. Strongest team available every game and if we beat Leeds let's hope for a home game vs lowest available team left.
A trip to Elland Road and London would make up for a missed play off season in Radfords first season.

Agreed although all the pundits this year particularly pre season put us down and bigged teams like Hull KR up for their record last season and never once referred to us reaching the cup final and running Saints close in it. A bit like the dozens of times they mentioned our ‘ appalling’ away record since 2017 v Wigan only since 2017 .

A bit of a conundrum this game..
a) Do we field our strongest available squad with the idea of gaining some form and momentum for forthcoming crucial league matches with possibility of picking up potential injuries..
b) Field a much changed team made up of reserves/DP's projects/squad members (viz Clare) etc with the concentration being on league survival as the CC is a distraction in view of our current plight.
Never thought I would say this but ATMIT,especially since its Leeds, I'm firmly in camp b

Firmly in camp a - losing becomes a habit so we need to go all out for a win to, hopefully, go on a bit of a run. There’s no reason we shouldn’t be looking at winning our next 4.
