Ogi is predominately a left edge second rower, and a very good one at that. He’s playing on the right which he dislikes to accommodate Ben Currie who is playing left. That begs the question why Warrington signed him if they think Ben Currie is better in that spot?
Simple.... because Powell wanted him.

I don't think Powell and Warrington are doing that bad. Think people are jumping at them due to the last 2 weeks where they have been beat by the best 2 teams in the comp.

Opened with 3 wins. If they keep beating the teams below Catalan and Saints they will be top 4 with Wigan which is a good result.

Peanut's defence has never been the best. Snag last night was he was the reason two very promising attacks broke down, that should worry the wire fans more. As for DP good luck to him, he deserves some silverware and if it's with Wire I have no issues.

Said it before, Powell is brilliant when coaching players, he just cant seem to coach egos and a cheque book.

He's always been more interested in the players off field personality and developing cultures at clubs. That's not how Wartingyon operate. They spend big money on.players no matter how they behave off the field. Powell and Co won't win a thing this Year.

Powell and Warrington have a lot more chance of winning anything than us, they at least have aspirations of silverware, success for Cas will be avoiding relegation

St Helen's are the bench mark. So your saying Warrington will beat Saints in an high pressure play off match under Powell ? Not a chance of that happening as he bottles it in high pressure matches. Cas wont win any silverware either.

I think he will do well given time. Thought Holmes had a decent game Friday and Warrington were in the contest for a long time. Saints are on another level though.

Not sure Oli Holmes had much choice, he didn’t want to leave Cas, I know that as a fact.

So what was his reason for leaving.
Funny how he managed a spot at Warrington where his boss was moving to.
Bit ironic is that.

He should’ve signed the deal he was offered then

He’s kept his house on and intends moving back here when his contract finishes.

Maybe so but doesn’t alter the fact he wanted to stay.

Extra money doesnt always make the grass greener. However even if Olly stayed I dont think it would have made much difference on how the team are playing this season.

If Oggy didn't want to go, he wouldn't have gone, but I guess a few more bob in his bank account and his old boss being there made it a bit easier. I'm sure most of us have moved jobs at some point in our lives for more money but doing the same job, it's how it is, but I just don't get that he didn't want to go.

He probably wanted Cas to match what Warrington were offering. Cas didnt want to so he had to leave or eat humble pie.

As we know all too well with our current position, a change of coach can often take longer to boom that we'd like. As i see it, DP is trying to change the way Wire play but his aspiration may be affected by the fact neither Oggy nor Pete M seem to be enjoying their new club.

Anyway, I hope DP is not successful because he coaches another team so if they're successful it means Cas aren't and that's who i support.
