Kane Evans

Post by stevieblunder » 10 Mar 2022, 22:20

Just watching the Leeds game.

Did we swerve this one or is he a world beater?

Personally, If I was a Hull fan I'd be gutted we'd signed such a [REMOVED].!!!!

Dodged a bullet not signing him. Useless against us.

I'll second ocl. He'll get more cars than tries, insect he may get more cards than appearances. A big fella that won't bend his back.

Is this the type of “big, nasty prop” various contributors on here constantly bang on about us needing? If so, no thanks!!

This is why his stint with the Warriors was cut short. The little cameos he played, usually ended in scuffles or sin bins. For the amount of money I imagine Hull are paying him, you need more for what he will offer. He won't be there long.

He wasn't on the pitch long enough for me to make an assessment. Perhaps that says it all?

You say that but you need to win the battle in the middle to win any game you should now that being ameture county player . Thats why leeds got steemed rolled last night got dominated by hulls big nasty pack .Why warrington wont do any thing this year powell all ready started shrinking there pack. Every team needs the big nasty blokes in middle always have always will.

You mean the “big, nasty pack” that we handled with ease last Sunday? If that’s “big and nasty” give me our front 6 everyday of the week.

Hull aren’t going to win the battle in the middle if Kane Evans spends most of his time in the bin, sent off or banned. You should know that as a former professional RL player.

PS - FWIW I was an International amateur player #justsaying

He dosnt look fit he seemed to want to get off the field as quick as he could yesterday and last week he should be smashing it in super league but I'd be concerned if I supported hull see what happens with him rest of season

Having a 'big nasty pack' and having them perform are two different things. Perhaps the Hull pack didn't perform against Cas, perhaps we didn't let them. Either way, there are some units in the Hull squad and if they perform to their ability, they are likely to roll some teams over.

Made my feelings on Kane clear on the rumour Mill thread and haven't seen anything to change my mind. The adjective "nasty" seems to be the misnomer in this debate. Most would be happy with a go forward prop who plays to the very limit of what's acceptable without crossing the line. Evans isn't that player and never has been.

Out of interest, who is the “big, nasty prop” for Saints? I don’t think they have one and don’t seem to do too badly when the trophy’s are dished out.

Once again, you avoid the question asked that could further the debate with childish digs. Is it because you don’t know or because you can’t name one? Or the fact that saints get by with a mix of size and skill and don’t have to rely on being “nasty”.
