Ian Watson is managing to get a good tune out of his squad early doors. That result yesterday doesn't sit well against what we served up against the same opposition in the season opener and they did OK vs Wigan.

Fartown's squad doesn't look like it would frighten anyone on paper but they are clearly functioning well as a unit.

I will go for a 6 point win for us on the back of yesterday's performance and the positive environment that will create within the squad in the lead up this week.

Depends which Cas turn up. Its now clear to see we can challenge but we can also be poor.

Huddersfield look good so far so we need to play just as well as yesterday or even better.

If Evalds is back do we revert back to the same spine as first few games? I would say no. McShane looked better at 7 but can he drop a fit Evalds or leave O'brien out?

Could O'brien play 13? Giving him the freeness to move around in attack as he did yesterday.

Does Mamo come straight back in when fit? Turner starts on the left for me every week. The right is up for grabs between him and Fonua.

I wouldn't mind seeing....

Evalds
Eden
Turner
Fonua/Mamo
Olpherts
Trueman
McShane
Smith
Lawler
Westerman
Sutcliffe
Blair/Edwards
O'brien

Watts
Matagi
Blair/Edwards/Griffin
Massey/Hepi/Robb

Depending on injuries.

If Evalds doesn't go the core stays the same. If Evalds plays move Obrien to 13 and free him up to join line off McShane and Trueman.
Then when Lawler needs rest at 9 he can jump back into 7 with McShane going to 9 pretty easy.
Out pack would still be good enough for me with a big bench.

McShane and O'brien attacking right with Trueman and Evalds attacking left could be great.

Hard to call when we don’t know who’s fit. There could be casualties from yesterday too.
Also we shouldn’t read that much into the Salford game. Despite a poor first performance we matched them in tries. Indiscipline and probably the best kicker in the league we’re the differensace

Wonder who's higher up pecking order when ONeill is back. Him or Robb. Only 1 can back up McShane. Specially if Lawler can jump in there too.

No Theo Fages for them and Watson said they've picked a couple of injuries up also.

Not sure on that one but that was a great performance from Robb yesterday and he doesn't deserve to left out of the 17, has a good pass,he can tackle and seems to have boundless energy and enthusiasm. Certainly proved he can compete at this level and will only get better.

Leave O'brien at fullback, and Gateman is rate about young Cain Robb in that he's definitely gotta be in the 17. Turner and Eden left edge and Fonua and Olpherts right edge. Trueman seems better with a strong half back partner and I think it comes from when he started with Galey.

Robb is going to be a very good player he should stay in the 17 for me
Radford was saying he loved the fact he was still trying to keep the ball alive with a few minutes left not sure about that coach but he did make a difference to the team

Evalds isn't guaranteed a start just because he's fit, the team functioned well yesterday with GOB at FB and as such as surely earned the start against Huddersfield???

Keep macca in the halves

Milner back? If so him and Robb to play 9

Could be a tight affair this, looking forward to seeing if we can back up from the Hull game, and I'll whisper it quietly be good to see Will Pryce in the flesh, looks a real talent and already big on the wish lists of a couple of NRL clubs.

Hope he doesn’t become as big a bell end as his dad.

Former Huddersfield academy player Chris Kendall and known Leeds Rhinos fan Tom Grant as touch judges with James Child reffing....so don't expect Cas to have a good time of it

I'm surprised Opta haven't included six agains in their stats, they can make quite a difference to games. Penalty wise we're third in the penalties conceded stats, Saints being at the top which I found astonishing as I always thought they got away with murder and normally winning teams tend to be penalised less than losing ones. So much of it seems to be down to the referees perception and idiosyncrasies rather than the consistency the fans want.
