Reading that it seems it shouldn’t even have been a penalty in my opinion

Yes not even a penalty. The player was about to pass when he's tackled. We were pretty poor and don't honestly think it was the reason we lost tbf.

I agree. The match was lost in the 5 minute spell before that and we actually did better in the 10 minutes he was off.

James Bentley’s appeal has not been successful and he has had another game added to his suspension. The forward will now miss the Rhinos next 4 games following his red card in Saturday’s game against Warrington

Just been tweeted by Leeds rhinos.

Nice to see it's not just Cas having a frivolous appeal this millennium.

Ollie Holmes has followed suite and had his ban extended for a frivolous appeal.

Whilst I welcome the consistency, are the RFL going to hide behind this excuse for every appeal now?

I'd even suggest it will change when Saints are losing appeals. Mind you, they'd have to be called before the disciplinary committee in the first place!

Reading the reports on Ollie Holmes he was charged with a RECKLESS high tackle but pleaded guilty to CARELESS

RFL said it was RECKLESS so just upped it as frivolous plea/"appeal" which seems a bit harsh

2022 message - THE RFL is always right and do not dare to challenge
