Perhaps the captaincy isn't suiting him and that the responsibility is getting to him,. I said it after the Salford game, we're missing a Shenton as a leader.
In what way?

A lot of forum posters were glad to get rid of him.

He's just showed us the difference between us and a successful Super League team.
This is the main thing we need to understand.
We have been spoiled with Powell. Pretty Bleak prospects ahead.

Geez you guys are a tough crowd. Away at Wire is never easy and not many teams will come away with anything this season. I thought your forwards were more than a match until heads dropped through exhaustion and frustration at ref decisions
Don't be too disheartened, I think Radford will get it right.
Could do with Trueman finding some confidence from somewhere though..

Can you expand on what you think makes Warrington “a successful SL team”? I’d put them in the “massive under-achievers” bracket for the money they’ve spent assembling their squad.

Someone who can maintain an expected level of performance as well as being able to lead and marshall the players around them and before I am hung drawn and quartered for referencing a Shenton type leader in this post, that team would not have performed so poorly if indeed he had turned out for us tonite I sure. I am not at all knocking McShane, but I think he would prove in his performances that he would be a better player without this added responsibility.

I can't see. Warrington being any great shakes at the end of this season based upon their first 2 showings, I think they have over achieved based upon the opposition they have encountered so far, including ourselves I'm afraid.

Thanks SJ.

It’s a shame that a supporter of a rival club has to be the voice of reason tonight.

One or two usual negative suspects almost rejoicing in the wake of 2 defeats. Wallowing in “I told you so” rhetoric. I wouldn’t want those kind of characters stood next to me when the going got tough in every day life. Time for some backbone.

Now we will see what the players & coaching staff are made of. No where to hide for the next 3 games.

Time for action. Not words.

The only positive I have for tonight is that the M62 wasn’t closed on the way home and so got back in decent time

Its very disappointing to lose the first two games of the season. But let's not throw the baby out with that bath water yet. As the lads are still probably getting used to Radfords style of play, also Warrington away is always a tough game. So onwards and upwards now and hopefully we can start getting some wins on the board in the next few games. COYF

Well, let me say this after 2 games:-

This Cas team look totally disjointed, not gelling together and dare I say it , dis-interested !

Let's analyse particularly call out the performances on some of the players:-

Fonua - not a shadow of himself and looks to have lost a load of weight and also his punch - my pet rabbit could have run faster and longer than he did ! After several steps with the ball he just pulled up and was blowing like an out of condition deflated beach ball !!

McShane - Lost his spark around the play the ball

Watts - scandalous let through of Mulhern to score but was he injured first half and in pain to effect the tackle ! Jury out !

Mamo - Gone Backwards and ineffective in defense as was Obrian !

Evalds - seems to have lost his sharpness and that no look pass was also scandalous for their first try !

Edwards - worse than average

In saying all the above, Cas gave away 18 points on a gift plate so if they can tidy up, stop the offloads in tying up players in tackles (which cost a few tries) , they will be competing - they looked good in first 10 minutes but all went t.ts up from the interception try !

I do not fully understand the knockers of Olpherts as he at least showed some potential in running the ball out and took his try well - he just missed the catch that wires scored from late but that was one of those kicks that was on the money !

If the performances do not improve, it's a race for the wooden spoon I'm afraid !

Westerman didn't deserve to be on the losing side last night. Don't get me wrong I do know and appreciate the "Game fitness" tag but looking around last night there were some hands on hips very early on. What some people are saying about Radfords 5 drives and a kick wasn't too evident to me last night. We were moving the ball around but just too, very very slowly. Indiscipline cost us. Yes I will argue some 50 50 calls went to wire but what on earth was Blair thinking 2 penalties for exact same stupid tackle. Correct me if I'm wrong but did Macca run from dummy half once? Rafords not a bad coach. Once the players cross that whitewash it's not down to him. Yes I know some will argue its his game plan but that doesn't account for lack of effort and Indiscipline from the players. Am I disappointed? Of course I am but do I scream "Radford out" no I don't. Do I blame child's for that performance? No. I think changes need to be made and quickly. But my glass is half full not empty. 5 or 6 matches in when I'll have more of an idea and my feelings are they'll be a lot of humble pie eaten later in the season. Champions? No relegation ? No I see us somewhere in between. And with all the changes made this close season I'll take that as long as we keep improving.

Feel like we need massey milner back asap as we need some passion for shirt on display, i know milner can give pens away but maybe is desire to play for club can motivate some around who don't look bothered. I also feel macca seems to be a bit off, if our halves don't start clicking would ideally try obrien alongside macca with milner at hooker as macca shown much more in halves when played there previously. Hope we looking for a quality pair for next year. The pack looks half decent but need watts to find some form but out wide we look horrendous, personally i have always felt you have to have a strong tackling centre with a pace winger outside, we had webster and shenton who could tackle which aided the attacking eden and snake. I don't feel we have any decent tacklers out wide and we cannot hold our line with too many occasions were we rush out of position. Discipline is shocking and tackling really needs addressing as we hit too high regular, a good hit to ribs slows down a player more than these constant penalties. We all know refs love penalising us as we never seem to get the fifty calls so stop giving them an easy out. Feel radders as got to sort this fast or april fools day could become pivotal as to wether this team as any future together. Finally shocking response from authorities over last nights coach incident police didn't even want to see footage hope club act on footage pasted on

Evalds, Olpherts, Edwards and Westerman the only players who are half decent.
Olpherts, are you kidding?? He can finish i’ll give you that but he is a liability defensively in particular.
Isn't Eden the same but most people on here love him.

Olpherts has been one of our best players so far. He's made a couple of defensive mistakes but thats not helped by his centre partner. If he had someone like Pete inside him it would be different
He did have Pete inside him last year and was making the same mistakes. It was man on man for Charnleys first try and he shot out when he just needed to stand his ground. Just cancelled out the good finish he made 5 mins before
