Bully Radford

Post by Knockersbuses » 13 Feb 2022, 03:52

Heard from a current professional tonight that Radford was accused of been a bully at Hull when he was sacked and him and and Liam Watts came to blows physically days before his move to Castleford in 2018

I was shocked at the way we played on Friday but I thought the new coach would have been given more time before the daggers were out

I've no idea what went on but I hope Radford gets Wattsy playing like he was at Hull and when he first joined us he's been a shadow of that player for some time

Most bosses have someone who wants to moan behind their back particularly if they are crap themselves and they will be quite happy to tell that to anyone who will listen

Speak to players of my age (65) and they will tell you tales about Reilly and Rocky Turner that will make your eyes water. Bully my armpit.

Radders is the gaffer and the players should respect and respond to that.

It cost us dearly when player power shifted steady didnt it

Different era Vinnie, we can't turn the clock back, I would guess the club provides pastoral care, safe quiet spaces on club premises and weekly wellbeing sessions.

I heard a few tales about Tony Fisher’s coaching style….I don’t think anxiety and mental health figured too highly on his list of priorities.

Yeah they were both men you didn't want to get on the wrong side of
I remember listening to Danny Buderus talking once about the time Mal arrived to coach the Newcastle Knights he was saying there were a lot of hard men in the squad at that time but they were all scared stiff of Mal

Is it bullying or is it just discipline as some players don't like strict regimes. At end of day the coach is in charge and how we train and play is his choice as at end of day it's always the coach who gets the chop if a club fails

Let’s hope he is a bully. After that performance on Friday, I doubt the Mr nice guy approach will work.

I can’t stand bullies and never will do. However I feel that the word is overused. Some players need fronting up at times and telling straight.
