Catalan & Toulouse away

Post by heritage1926 » 17 Jan 2022, 11:47

#BREAKING All athletes who wish to compete in France will have to be vaccinated against Covid-19, government sources tell AFP #AFPSports - https://twitter.com/AFP/status/1483008889285140480

Could throw a spanner in the works for a couple of our unvaccinated players. We play both of them away in the space of a month.

Games are six weeks apart, not in the space of a month.
Just saying.

If the 2 are both halfbacks it could be difficult to plug the gaps

Should be part of their contractual agreement. They’re role models & have a part to play in promoting the club in the correct manner.

Regardless of one’s personal views, can’t mix up having a vaccine with promoting the club correctly.

No it shouldn't at all. Its personal choice exactly how it should be. If France bring in this rule then so be it.... they may miss a couple of games.

Carter at Wakefield said they have six not vaccinated it's a personal choice but if it was me I wouldn't want someone coming in and taking my place while I sit out matches because I'd not been vaccinated

I know very well, a former prop forward, who admitted to be scared to having the vaccine. He said I have had more stitches than a mail bag, but now he is fully jabbed up, and he said it was a trauma going in to face the Nurse. Hardest sport in the world, but takes courage it seems to have a little [REMOVED].🤗😝😂

Not yet, but I think it's a matter of when and not if similar requirements will be introduced.
Players will still have a choice of course, and that choice will be between getting vaccinated and playing pro RL or not getting vaccinated and finding another type of employment.

Plz take the vax and covid talk somewhere relevant. It's up to the individuals themselves, that's why we are individuals and NOT sheep.
