Have my e-ticket - driving up from Surrey for the game.
There’s a little bit of 2017 excitement in the air…. Just being with you all and cheering the boys on is worth the 480 mile round trip!
It’s been a long off season!!

Can any of the York locals advise on where the best place to get a few pints before the game?

There’s not much there - a pear tree a 5/10 minute walk away, there’s a bar in the Hollywood bowl attached to the stadium. If you’re willing to walk 15mins into Huntington there’s a working men’s club and also a half decent pub called Hogs Head, that one is my pre match boozer. Then again York centre with its hundreds of pubs is only half an hour walk.

Going to be a funny old game today with fielding a different team each half, Could end up winning 2, losing 2 or sharing the spoils one each. Either way, this is more about Radders looking to identify his starting line-up in the big kick off to the season so I certainly won't be taking anything negative away from this game today. Just great to watch a game on a good day in a very good facility. Keep safe all on your journeys.

Can't make the game now, anyone known if it's being shown on the Our League app?

No it’s not on our league and BBC York who usually cover Knights games aren’t doing it either.

Just to let anyone that’s on their way know there’s a bar in Hollywood Bowl where you park if you don’t want to walk to Huntingdon. Sat in here now with a pint!

it does not seem worth while starting another thread , Doncaster up this weekend is anyone going , with no disrespect to Dony i think we could have had a more demanding fixture with us not being able to play Salford
