Re: Another rule change in Australia.
It’s a stupid rule. I’m waiting for the one time where one of the “big” teams are losing by 1 point, with seconds left, 10 yards out, bang in front and the defending team lies on, knowing a “six again” will be given and not a penalty.

That happened to us against Hull Kr last season. They scored the winning try with 1 min left, we got the ball back from the restart and first tackle they just laid there while the ref frantically waved for 6 again. We were never going to have time for 6 tackles anyway. Eventually he blew a penalty and binned the bloke, but they did the same next tackle and by then the hooter went.

I did think of that game as an example, except we were losing by 4 in that one.Captain wrote: ↑23 Dec 2021, 16:13

True, but they knew what we were capable of from the Challenge Cup tieFumper27 wrote: ↑23 Dec 2021, 17:38I did think of that game as an example, except we were losing by 4 in that one.Captain wrote: ↑23 Dec 2021, 16:13

Re: Another rule change in Australia.
I didn’t like the rule. Most refs were giving 6 again early in the count but seemed reluctant to give it on the last.
Also, it made the game lack variety, exacerbated by the no scrums rule. We need more variety, because last year it was tig and pass with tackles!
