Same here, the Boxing Day and NYD games were a highlight back when we played a winter game. Not sure how people can get giddy about these non competitive run outs, I’d rather go for a walk

Yeah I remember some great battles in the games over Christmas at that time Boxing Day was a apt phrase both on and off the field at times

In winter rugby it was just part of the season. Now it's in pre season and the players aren't ready. I did like a cold boxing Day stood on the terraces, recovering from the overindulgence of the day before. A mix of starters and juniors.

I miss the winter matches you can’t beat the smell of someone opening a flask of bovril or whiskey stood near you

Let’s put it into perspective and look at the respective line ups. I could of looked good against that Wakefield side and I haven’t laced up the boots for 14 years!!

Was it on our league then I'd have watched it if I'd known
We won't sign a top half back while we have three all ready taking up a lot of our salary cap I wouldn't imagine for next season you might get your wish
