season tickets
Re: season tickets
Any of the folks on here know how many Season Tickets have actually been sold?
Re: season tickets
Over 3500 signed up now.... anyone know what sort of figures we usually get?
Would be good to compare on recent years.

Re: season tickets
Id imagine the 3.5k is more than normal as the club don't normally give out official figures regards season tickets. Hopefully the first game against Salford should see a pretty decent crowd down the lane.

Re: season tickets
It uses to be around 2.5 so we are buying into the new era, which is great.
At 3.5, that's halfway towards the 7k we need to spend the cap ( or that's what it used to be)

Re: season tickets
The current finite salary cap is £2.1m with dispensations for marquee, home grown player developments etc
The salary cap has been virtually entirely funded since 2014 via the increase tv deal.

Re: season tickets
The new membership scheme is the best thing Cas could have done and begs the question, why not earlier. Me, my dad and brother wouldn't have bought a season ticket this year outright, so that's £750 right there that Cas didn't have last season. I've also been told that ticket sales have earnt the club between the £450-£500k mark, that's fantastic.
Re: season tickets
your right there mate whoever suggested the new way of paying bringing it in the range that some of our fans can now afford wants a clap on the back
Re: season tickets

Re: season tickets
Didn't know that, it was always the 7k cried that was mentioned as the point we needed to achieve. Fantastic that it doesn't matter anymore.Year of the Tiger wrote: ↑25 Jan 2022, 11:17The current finite salary cap is £2.1m with dispensations for marquee, home grown player developments etc

Re: season tickets
I think the 7k referred to was average attendance and not season ticket holders.mart0042 wrote: ↑26 Jan 2022, 10:55Didn't know that, it was always the 7k cried that was mentioned as the point we needed to achieve. That's what I thought and the 3.5k is half whether they attend or not.Fumper27 wrote: ↑26 Jan 2022, 11:20I think the 7k referred to was average attendance and not season ticket holders.mart0042 wrote: ↑26 Jan 2022, 10:55Didn't know that, it was always the 7k cried that was mentioned as the point we needed to achieve. Re: season tickets
That’s great the club have a provisional 450-500k in sales, however I understand it to be direct debited monthly. What happens say theoretically cas loose first 4 games how many supports then say they aren’t going or paying and cancel the DD and the club loose money? The way it is the club will only have all 450-500k in once every supporter has made there last payment.heritage1926 wrote: ↑25 Jan 2022, 11:43 The new membership scheme is the best thing Cas could have done and begs the question, why not earlier. Re: season tickets
I think the whole point of being a member of a club you love is not to ‘take your ball home’ as soon as we lose a couple of games.
From what we saw with fans donating season ticket money in 2020 I think these 3,500 members are in it for the love of the club.
The other 3,000 core fans love the club but just prefer to pay on the day or are working shifts etc… so it makes sense financially not to be out of pocket.
The other 3,000 that turn up for big games and when we are doing well - will always do so.
I think the club have done a great job in the last 4 months, marketing is on the up, massive increase in revenue, some sort of light at the end of tunnel on the ground, and a playing group that looks exciting to watch, coached by a guy who seems to be pressing all the right buttons so far.
Sorry for being so cheerful, but I can’t wait for Friday 11th Feb to get here!

Re: season tickets
Pardon my ignorance as I'm finance expert but whilst it is physically possible to simply cancel a direct debit payment, like any financial agreement there must be a 'contract' in which the debtor has signed up to pay the 'debt'. therefore they remain liable for the remainder of the debt and cab be pursued through the courts.
I've not become a member so don't know how the agreement has been drawn up but I would hope there's a clause that includes annual renewal so any debt only covers the cost of one season?

Re: season tickets
Well I've finally bought my membership this morning... Talk about dragging my heels. That 3501 if figures are accurate
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.
Re: season tickets
This is my point - is it a credit agreement so the club get paid out already. Even if just a small percentage of people don’t pay or even 1 member cancel etc and the club haven’t already had the money the club will suffer, which none of us want!FIat Capper wrote: ↑27 Jan 2022, 12:54 Pardon my ignorance as I'm finance expert but whilst it is physically possible to simply cancel a direct debit payment, like any financial agreement there must be a 'contract' in which the debtor has signed up to pay the 'debt'. therefore they remain liable for the remainder of the debt and cab be pursued through the courts.

If they have the money upfront we have it - not banking that it’ll come.

There were substantial set up - both hardware and software - costs.
Running costs weren't cheap either, especially the direct debit charges.
There was also a significant minority who cancelled their direct debits after one or two payments. Some of these cancellations were quickly sorted by a telephone call or a follow up letter.
Some never fully paid, the club was advised it was not worthwhile pursuing those individuals.
Fraudulent use was another issue, which I won't go into on here.
MY CLUB. MY CAS
Re: season tickets
Id assume if you're direct debit wasn't paid then you're season ticket would be void, the 1st payment will cover the costs of the games before the next payment and so on. Similar to gym memberships, you stop paying you cant get in.
CLASSY CAS FOREVER
