Not very professional when so many players can just leave. what would happen if they had all left in the middle of the season we would have been struggling to get a team together

just like to remined you fellow supporters that the women's team are not professionals nor are they really tied to any club they have always moved from one club to another, And will continue to do so until such times that the are contracted to a club as and when that will happen god only knows .you can bet your live on it not happening in the near future.

Exactly. Amateurs have always been free to move as they please. No one complained when the ladies were winning every game 70-0. Now the scores maybe reversed, it’s like Armageddon and no one wants them associated with the name “Castleford Tigers”…

Am all for women's game but can't see it ever being self funding .Alot off clubs can't afford to drain money out off men's team to fund a full time womens team .women's football can afford full time because there run at a loss funded by multi millionaire owners which rugby league don't have .

No, amateurs cant move where they want....only 2 per team. This is the rule that should of been in place for Womens RL.

Only 2 players would of been able to be signed by York mid-season.....would of stopped the rest going at seasons end though.

Really?? I stand corrected. However, this was not the case when I played the game. Maybe the rules have changed since then.

good luck to the lad but i think he'll spend a lot of time drying a lot of tears this season.
i can only see a lot of heavy defeats after all our best players were poached.

We've had to go back to square one no option but to try and build a new team and hope in a few years we get back to where we were and the players want to be at Cas when we do

And who’s to say if we do find one or two gems, they won’t be off like a shot when Leeds, York, Wigan, saints come poaching.

there is not a big pool of ladies playing at open age loads in the younger bracket , it may be a few years to get back to the level we had

Whatever the hopes and dreams are for our women's team, my option would be to tempt back many of those that have left for the very much greener grass.

Let's support the ladies, on and off the field and this includes financial support, not just expenses.

I cannot see Cas fulfilling the season.

I note the recent announcement about the ground improvements included a reference to finances and the fact we spend to the cap but cannot provide adequate support for the Ladies, Juniors or indeed, consider a marquee signing.

You reap what you sow...

Maybe call it quits now if it can't be fully funded by sponsors and start again after the ground is sorted and we have more income.

As much as it pains me to say it as me and our lass loved going to watch the womens team, I have to agree. If we can’t do it properly then no point embarrassing ourselves. Draw a line under it for now, concentrate on the ground, then go again. As far as I can work out our womens squad currently stands at only about 9 players anyway?

It seems a bit of money is being thrown at the ladies game. My wondering if if it will be part of the franchising model.
