It has been an amazing fall from grace that doesn't appear to have a reason? We can all speculate but until someone comes out with fact, we shall remain in the dark, trying to find something to blame.

It is really disappointing and I can only hope Cas are moving heaven and earth to rebuild with quality from other teams, making huge signings of their own. I'll pass judgement once they have or have not...

does have a reason. our coach (lindsay anfield) did a solomona and announced she was retiring. a few weeks later she rocks up as coach of york ladies and immediately takes 5 of our international players and more have bailed out since. i'm surprised the RL press haven't taken up on this and interestingly the original 5 that left have not been featuring in the england squad.

there is a lot of interest in ladies teams in the grass roots but top class players are very hard to come by, some clubs are giving inducements for our better players to leave, if it was a game of tidelewinks the same would happen

Some of the turncoats now are just glory hunting unless we sign some players we are not in contention next year far from it Leeds and Saints will dominate everything followed by York
I see they had trials of women last week it's back to square one trying to build up a squad again and hope that if we do they have more loyalty than a lot of the last lot

I'm aware of the shenanigan's but still have no idea why Lindsey left in the first place and why she has found it very easy to tempt the players away?

These are the questions I'd like the Club to address:-

Do they provide adequate support to the ladies team including; payments to cover expenses and so on, quality nutrition support and advice, medical/physio support education and training?

I am well aware the ladies game is not full-time pro but if you want to be the best, you have to provide the best support. I suspect the Club rested on it's laurels and just has a ladies team as a box ticking exercise.

The way this has been allowed to develop is an absolute disgrace. We had one of the best ladies teams in Britain and it has just been allowed to disintegrate.

The Club really do need to act fast and rectify the situation, sign some top players themselves and provide better support than other clubs do.

it as been said before we have a team to open money streams by ticking the boxes can a club like CAS compete with the big clubs or have some one wants to put money in , you can only spend money once our money will have been put into the first team

All the more reason to try and raise it rather than just accept mediocrity.

It seems the draw has been made for the women's Challenge Cup with a new group format. Cas may have been lucky at this stage but it may also provide a taster for where they now are. Here's the groups:-

Group A: St Helens, Warrington Wolves, Barrow Raiders, The Army

Group B: Leeds Rhinos, Huddersfield Giants, Leigh Miners Rangers, Hull FC

Group C: York City Knights, Wigan Warriors, Bradford Bulls, Widnes Vikings

Group D: Castleford Tigers, Featherstone Rovers, Wakefield Trinity, Oulton Raiders

Scrap the side we don’t need a team getting beat 80-0 every week associated with the club.

To be fair the games Iv seen on tv they are terrible anyway.

All the Experienced players have gone.
The ones left are young and lack any experience. No idea where we are gonna get a team together from to compete.

Have we even got a coach yet.

Isn’t Marie Colley the coach? Not sure what her credentials / qualifications are.
