Re: Solamona
Given the way that he treated the club with such disrespect by thinking he could just ‘retire’ and rip us his contract, I’m glad he experienced relatively little success in RU.
It might have done us a favour though. With the amount of Class A he was taking during 2016 he was bound to get caught sooner or later, and this way we got some compensation by suing him, Sale and his agent.
We did spend that money on Zak Hardaker, though.

It will always rank with me as one of the most dastardly deeds I've seen from a player at Cas we had bent over backwards to look after him even lent him money so he could keep his head above water then he repays us with a trick like that
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

He didnt do bad tbh honest . It's his off field issues what held him back . Still blame his agent rather then him tbh .nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑26 Nov 2021, 19:50 Given the way that he treated the club with such disrespect by thinking he could just ‘retire’ and rip us his contract, I’m glad he experienced relatively little success in RU.

Re: Solamona
He was called up to a large England squad that didn’t include many of the top established international players because they were on the Lions tour.westerbeast73 wrote: ↑26 Nov 2021, 22:06Little success in RU? Then he got booted for his drinking and general bad attitude.
He was never anywhere near the full England RU squad.
Re: Solamona

The history books will still say he played for England RU. I bet you didn't moan about him when he was scoring tries for fun at Cas.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑26 Nov 2021, 22:38He was called up to a large England squad that didn’t include many of the top established international players because they were on the Lions tour.westerbeast73 wrote: ↑26 Nov 2021, 22:06Little success in RU? Re: Solamona
First saw Judas Semolina playing from the Broncos, we were whooping them at their place and his attitude was terrible, sulking about the pitch but you could see he had something.
When he joined us he was brilliant, that season he was unstoppable, every time he got close to play you knew something was about to happen. Vs Leeds, at Headingley, a hat trick I think, i started to believe we were turning the corner to better times and while he wasn’t there with us he was involved with the start of that change. It’s a pity he chased the cash, especially how he went about it, but he won’t be the last.

Solomona was brilliant for us and I don’t begrudge anybody going for a lot more money. However, the way he went about it I’ll never forgive him for and I just can’t wish him well - the snake deserves everything he gets.
