Re: CAS Financial update
That's a astonishing result specially we alot off games behind closed doors Wembley appearance probably boosted the profit but Mr gratton def got a good business management skills
Re: CAS Financial update
That’s gross profit. Net profit is the key figure, once taxes and the like are taken into account.

Re: CAS Financial update
Accounts only go up to Nov 2020 so wont include Wembley appearance.
The income/cash may include the government loan that was paid to RL clubs in Spring 2020 I guess, we'd ha e got over 1 mill if it was apportioned evenly. Not seen the accounts in detail to work out whether it does.

And players I’d assume were furloughed, plus the majority of specci’s chose not to have refunds on season tickets.
Re: CAS Financial update
great news one of the very few clubs not to show a big loss. we moan about those upstairs but they must be doing something right

Re: CAS Financial update
It is good news. Good financials will be part of any franchise model, they don't want clubs with begging bowls out showing poor management and other clubs bailing them out just to maintain the integrity of the competition.
It doesn't really matter how we've got to a profit but that we can service any debt and survive the harshness of brexit and now covid.
If we'd have posted a 1m negative balance I wouldn't have been suprised. Every club has suffered but we've come out the other side.
Well done Cas!

Re: CAS Financial update
At least we'll be able to afford the planning application for the stadium upgrade.
Re: CAS Financial update
It certainly looks good on the face of it, although not trying to be negative, but the devil is probably in the detail, especially considering:
- its the Gross figure, not net (which will be lower)
- it potentially includes around a 1m loan in the 'income'
- wage bill was reduced due to furlough and wage cuts.
- the season ticket donations
- I think those who opted for refund will have been refunded post these accounts (so will be an expense that carried over to the next accounts)
Be intrested to see the level of liabilities within the accounts and also how the profit/loss compares to other clubs - that would be the best indication of how we performed.
The clubs with,
A) highest wage bill,
B) lowest season ticket donations
C) highest facilities costs, and
D) lower sponsorship income
E) Highest Finance costs
Will be the clubs with the most pain (Covid pretty much leveled everything else off)
I'd expect us to perform well on points A, C and E and slightly lower than average on points B and D compared to other clubs.

Re: CAS Financial update
I’ve had a pretty cr@p week and reading this has just cheered me up - fantastic news. Break even was the best I thought we could hope for so well done to all involved, great work.
Re: CAS Financial update
Just had a look at the full accounts which look pretty healthy, significant increase in long term creditors (around £720k) which I assume is the government loan. Reduction in short term creditors though.
However the accounts suggest we had 1.5m cash in hand/bank which is huge compared to £337k previous year. Assume some of this is the loan but still seems very high.

Re: CAS Financial update
The accounts are due for this year on the 30th. Considering they are not delayed at CH I will drop them here and review. Posting a profit in the current climate is an outstanding achievement. Well done to the management team!
