How quickly things change
I was just flicking through the last couple of Rugby League World magazines before lockdown put it on hold
The first team of the month for the 2020 season has two Cas players, Olpherts and Blair in it,and Olpherts appeared again the following month.
What happened, did they get worse or is it the case that they now get worse press than they deserve?

Don’t allude to Blair having not just a good game, but a good month. You’ll be black marked by most on here!!!
He started the 2020 really well. Scored a few tries I think and was very strong in defence.

I thought Blair looked very good right up until lockdown in 2020. The best couple of months he’s had whilst he’s been here. Let’s hope he gets out the blocks the same next season.

am sure some body on here his Blairs agent he's being total waist off money we not paid him all that money and will be one off top earners to have one good month. If people think that's good value hope your not managing a business.

Thanks for sharing TT. Whoever posted that Blair has been “good value” must be on my Foe list as I missed that one.Tamworth Tiger wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 01:09Just sharing what I read today. Re: How quickly things change
There's a huge difference between someone playing well and being considered good value. I agree that he was excellent at times in defence - as an example, anyone remember that game last season at Saints when he stopped a certain try when he stopped Walmsley 1-on-1 right next to our line..?
As for value for money, I agree he hasn't been. I understand Jon Wells was instrumental in his recruitment, and if so, he didn't do particularly well with that piece of business.
Like it or not, he has another year to prove himself. He also faces some competition for back row places - let's see what 2022 brings
