Could someone please explain how the hell Reece Lyne gets selected in an international squad??

Also if supposedly selected on form, how is Bateman selected?? Has been worse than average all season.

You really see how poor the squad is minus a few NRL based players.

So many why's:

Bateman has been poor all season, oledzki had just returned from a long term injury same as Newman. I can also see Catalan and saints players pulling out, as their clubs are single minded in that it's club first.

We play in less than a week and it's only now the squad announced.

Hoping Macca and Niall come out of it unscathed in injury and another wane mess with up.

I don't think any super League player is not caring an injury. He did make the grand final I think.

Niall Evalds
Tom Davies
Zak Hardaker
Harry Newman
Tom Makinson
Jonny Lomax
Jordan Abdull
Alex Walmsley
Paul McShane
Mike Cooper
Liam Farrell
John Bateman
Morgan Knowles

Kruise Leeming
Mikolaj Oledzki
Joe Philbin
Ben Currie

Bateman can consider himself very luck IMO. Would have had McMeekan in over him based on form.

^^^ I’m sorry but, even though there are a few NRL players to come in, that is a p155 poor international line up. I don’t think the Aussies will lose much sleep on the run up to the World Cup looking at that.

I have to agree - McMeeken looked good every game I saw him play. Bateman looked terrible.

My thoughts with the squad is you must pick on form with a few wild cards. Macca has been the best hooker even though leeming got in the dream team playing for Leeds playing in the halves.

on form i just don't get how cooper and philbin from wire get in. i've always thought farrell looks ok till he comes up against a brutal pack and then he goes missing. would be no good against the aussies so we are learning nothing from playing him against the french. mcmeeken must have done something to upset wane cos he's been back to his 2017 form.

Thought Macca was good should be his shirt to loose now ...Hardaker was awful I've changed my mind about him at centre

Even then he was better than Reece Lyne.

Philbin
Lyne
Both are not international standard.
Hardaker is as much a Center as I am.

Macca and Evalds.
Both had decent games, did Macca come off after half time, can’t remember seeing him second half.
Nice to see each one have try assists.

Started going down hill when Walmsley went off,
No guidance when Macca went off second half.
