Yes because we all thought we would be getting 2 nrl quality players. Your players listed have not been signed by Cas from the Nrl they have come from other Superleague clubs. I'm not knocking those signings but they didnt get signed from the NRL with the expectation of them being class players.Fumper27 wrote: ↑21 Jan 2022, 21:14Could say same about:westerbeast73 wrote: ↑21 Jan 2022, 21:09Come off it how many times have Cas been in talks with good players only for another team to get their signing. It happens all the time. The likes of Saints, Wigan, Leeds, Warrington get a sniff and Cas loose out. If these 2 were so good they wouldn't be at Cas that's for sure. 7 seasons in the NRL and as soon as he comes to Cas hes injured all the time Not a coincidence at all he's a duff end of.Fumper27 wrote: ↑21 Jan 2022, 21:01Could say that about every player who signs for any club really…westerbeast73 wrote: ↑21 Jan 2022, 20:49 If Feki and Blair were that good Cas would never had signed them. Another team would have offered more money and scuppered the deal as on many occasions before. 2 duds unfortunately.
Mamo
Edwards
Mcshane
Watts
Westerman
And any player signed by any club.
Maybe they wanted to try playing and living in a different country? I agree that Feki has been a let down. However, not one person on here was disappointed with his signing when it was first announced.

Re: 2022 Squad
I really would love it if next year the shirt numbers are issued through surname alphabetically.
Re: 2022 Squad
Anyone know why we do not have a #26? Related to the year we formed perhaps?
Re: 2022 Squad
Wouldnt read too much into Olpherts at 2.flood light tiger wrote: ↑21 Jan 2022, 11:23 I don’t agree about olpherts at 2 I think we have better players for that position but hay ho we have to put trust in Radner’s
Looking at the squad only Blair has 'lost' 1-13 number from last year.
In reality it would have been hard and potentially demotivating to take it off Olpherts for players who didnt or barely played last year (Eden or Feki) or a new player who Radford has previously worked with and is probably viewed as a centre anyway in Fauna. If everyone is fit I'd doubt Olpherts will be in the back line regardless of number.

Re: 2022 Squad
Confirmed as having the number 26 shirt Junior Vasuitogo as per today's team news.Brummietiger wrote: ↑22 Jan 2022, 09:40I thought I saw a snip from somewhere that suggested we had given the army finalist a 12 month contract, Could this be his shirt as unless I'm mistaken, he wasn't announced yesterday.
Re: 2022 Squad
Could be. However not all of the squad numbers today match what was dragged out on Friday:
9 is Tom Marris
12 is Alex Sutcliffe
I think knocker is right though

Re: 2022 Squad
Well having seen the friendlies now, I think our team for Salford will be not far from this.
Evalds
Faraimo
Mamo
Turner
Fonua
Truman
Richardson
Watts
McShane
Lawler
Edwards
Sutcliffe
Westerman
Massey
Matagi
Blair (I’d go O’Brien)
Smith
I’ve been really impressed with Sutcliffe who I think has gone after that right second row spot, and I think for me he’s done enough to warrant a starting spot. Can’t wait to get back down lane with what should be a massive crowd with the ticket offers we have put on. Roll on the 11th February!

Re: 2022 Squad
The pleasing aspect for me is that we have genuine strength in depth. There are a number of players not listed in the 17 above who, in many other opinions, would be.
Roll on 11th February.

Re: 2022 Squad
Feki won't be back until March time, Radford says. But has a back line goes, the pace and power 1-5, is staggering.
Re: 2022 Squad
That’s why I said “if all fit”. Agree on the back line. A long time since we had such a strong line up in that area.heritage1926 wrote: ↑24 Jan 2022, 16:43Feki won't be back until March time, Radford says. But has a back line goes, the pace and power 1-5, is staggering.
