Don’t worry about it Gateman, I enjoy your posts. My thoughts were that we’re often “smaller” than other sides and appear to be easily bullied. That pack would not be bullied by any team.

Lee's influence on our pack is the main thing that I'm looking forward to seeing. We've not been aggressive enough for a long time now and I think we will have more steel this year.

Cheyse is due a good season and could surprise a few in the months ahead. You weren't that off piste Fumper but don't go wandering off into the really long grass by suggesting that Truey is a decent half back or you might get some pelters..... :)

Truey is more than a decent half, when fit. That’s the biggest issue - is his back gonna hold out? He’s gonna need time to get back anywhere near match fit from what I’ve seen of him the last 2 weeks. The only way is game time.

Evalds
Faraimo
Mamo
Turner
Fonua
Truman
Richardson
Watts
McShane
Lawler
Edwards
Sutcliffe
Westerman

Massey
Matagi
Blair (I’d go O’Brien)
Smith

I’ve been really impressed with Sutcliffe who I think has gone after that right second row spot, and I think for me he’s done enough to warrant a starting spot. Can’t wait to get back down lane with what should be a massive crowd with the ticket offers we have put on. Roll on the 11th February!
I agree with you on Sutcliffe hed be my starting 12 in a couple of weeks and I'd always have GOB on the bench if he's not starting he's a good player and can come on and make a difference

Sutcliffe as done nothing wrong showed good pace when scoring his last try of the new signings the one that as stood out for me is Lawler looked very hard to stop a bull of a man for his size

For me as an all fit 17
Evalds
Faraimo
Mamo
Turner
Fonua
Truman
Richardson
Watts
McShane
Massey
Lawler
Sutcliffe
Westerman

Edwards
Matagi
O’Brien
Smith

Edwards and Matagi from the bench to hopefully create space and Smith to offload a couple

But I think we're all juggling the same 18/19 around

It's a very strong 17 isn't it and you've got good players not in there and some very promising youngsters can't wait for the real action to start

Decent depth this season Id be happy for any 2 of Feki Eden Fonua Faraimo or Olpherts to be on our wing spots. Centres n halfs we have 3 of each equally as good, back row we have ample, theres only really prop where we're bit low on quality and the hooker spot. If Mcshane gets a bad injury we'll struggle.

Thought Milner covered for McShane well last season when he had to but do hope McShane is fit for as much of the season as possible. Also at prop I honestly think we're better there than people are giving credit for, as I've said before, Watts, Matagi and Massey to be in the side each week leaving Smith, Lawler, Griffin, Hepi and Westerman as other options at prop. That's not bad at all imo

Any side would miss a player of McShanes influence and quality if they picked up a bad injury. I don’t think our cover options are too bad though with Milner, O’Neill (when he’s back fit) and young Robb.

it certainly on paper looks a far better squad this season, the board as given Radford their backing it is up to Lee to deliver let us hope in three months time we are saying in LR we trust

I wouldn't play Griffin at prop either he was a good back rower at Salford I'm prepared for him to get back to form if he's played in his right role hope so anyway

Never have, never will. His best year of rugby was last season at Wakey, when they give him the freedom to do what he does best.

Left wing of Eden/feki. Fonua the left centre.

If Sutcliffe starts in the second row, he can play centre which would cover injury and allow one of the 3/4s to drop to fullback or wing if needed.

Oneill/robb/milner on the bench to cover for Macca, if he got injured or had to move him mid match to cover the halves.

O'Brien/Richardson on the bench if we don't need the above.

I think we'll see O'Brien in front of Richardson and truey, especially if they keep being non vaccinated. We need continuity for another 2017 season rather than what we've seen since.
