11. The Mend-a-Hose Jungle – Castleford
Despite its incredible atmosphere on game days, the Jungle wouldn’t look out of place on a landfill site. Its dilapidated nature makes for some interesting sounds as the Castleford faithful bang the tin stands which, surprisingly, hasn’t led to its collapse. At number two rather than number one due to the fact that you can actually see the game from all four corners. The only thing worse than the ground itself is the state of the toilets – enter at your peril.
Bit bloody harsh there.

Think he's correct.
Don't forget he also says we have the number 1 atmosphere in super league.
Our ground is awful lets be honest. But its that awful we are used to it and enjoy it.
I would have us at 11 too in front of Wakey.

I keep saying, sort the toilet blocks out and get the atmosphere back by winning games and a lot of the pressure will be off.
Re: Callum Walker - Cas ground
Probably payback for all the flak he gets on here for his constantly inaccurate reporting.

If so he needs to grow up

Harsh words maybe but ask a fan of any other club and they’ll likely agree.

Unfortunitly we don’t have an hand out to get a new stadium if we had or do what would they say then so we have to make do with what we have got

Re: Callum Walker - Cas ground
at one of the meet the directors evenings i've attended it was said that all the toilets (among other things) have to pass an inspection before the gates are open. don't shoot the messenger but they said they seem to be regularly vandalised once the crowd start coming in.Tamworth Tiger wrote: ↑01 Oct 2021, 20:40 I keep saying, sort the toilet blocks out and get the atmosphere back by winning games and a lot of the pressure will be off.

As the article says the atmosphere is great. The rest of it is a dump.Tamworth Tiger wrote: ↑01 Oct 2021, 22:18When they do ground reviews we often do pretty well with opposition fans due to atmosphere compared to soulless inaccessible grounds like Salford

Hence Stuart vause getting the highest accolade.
So the bogs might be a disgrace, we do have some good things going for us.

the state of the toilets we all know are well outdated i for one would donate the money i paid in good faith for two bricks a good number of years ago to the building of new toilets, our new ground seems to be nothing but a pipe dream the money is not going to be spent there

He's always got a story up about Cas as Callum just read about Blair having to spend two weeks in a hotel before he can see his family

Re: Callum Walker - Cas ground
As stated on here in other posts about the ground. We've got a great fan base and it wouldn't surprise me if a few of them we're in the building trade. They only have to ask. We love this team and ground and people would help at the drop of an hat. Ask. Ask. You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. Christ it's not rocket science.
