Castleford Tigers are excited to confirm that Kenny Edwards has agreed to a one-year loan deal at The Mend-A-Hose Jungle!
The New Zealander began his professional career in the NRL with Parramatta Eels where he spent five years before coming to Super League at Catalans Dragons and most recently the Huddersfield Giants.
Known for his tenaciousness in the second-row along with his ability to offload the ball skilfully, the 32-year-old will be looking to bring some extra bite to the forward pack next season.

Re: Kenny Edwards confirmed
Yayyy at last an announcement.
1 year loan.
Does that mean we are only paying part of his wages.

A potentially great signing.
Need to get Matagi signed up, Wattsy fit and another front rower to replace Millo.

So basically Radford sees him as Holmes replacement on that left side.

That’s what I thought ST.SWISS TONY!! wrote: ↑19 Sep 2021, 12:58 So basically Radford sees him as Holmes replacement on that left side.
Re: Kenny Edwards confirmed
We’re gonna miss Oggy no doubt and very sad to see him go but I think Edwards is different class, as it is with most overseas signings though it’s when they seem to want to play, oggy 100% effort no matter what.old cas lass wrote: ↑19 Sep 2021, 12:59That’s what I thought ST.SWISS TONY!! wrote: ↑19 Sep 2021, 12:58 So basically Radford sees him as Holmes replacement on that left side.
Sure they’ll be a few disagree as how highly rated Holmes is but I’m happy with this one!
Re: Kenny Edwards confirmed
Definitely a signing that improves the starting 13 in my eyes. Hopefully Kenny will keep his fingers to himself next season though
Re: Kenny Edwards confirmed
Westerman and Mamo are also better than what we've had this season ...good sign

Got the skills no doubt and he could be a good fit for us. Get his aggression right and he could be a good signing. Happy with this.

Re: Kenny Edwards confirmed
Could be a great signing of he can get back to his NRL and Catalans days. I guess he somewhere near last chance saloon and like Matagi, he had the chance to earn a longer contract.
Not the pace of oggy but much more powerful.
If Lawler is the right second row, that must leave Sutcliffe with centre spot.

I don’t think we’ll be done in the market just yet. Sutcliffe won’t be a starting centre at the start of the season. He’ll need to play himself into the team as he’s never really been a starter at Leeds.mart0042 wrote: ↑20 Sep 2021, 09:55 Could be a great signing of he can get back to his NRL and Catalans days. Re: Kenny Edwards confirmed
Turner is the only one left who could do it. If love a couple of good NRL players. A centre and a half back.MrRugby123 wrote: ↑20 Sep 2021, 10:05I don’t think we’ll be done in the market just yet. Re: Kenny Edwards confirmed
Nah for me it's Turner left centre, Mamo right. If we get Eden sorted for next year opposite Faraimo I think our backline looks very solid.. on papermart0042 wrote: ↑20 Sep 2021, 10:07Turner is the only one left who could do it. Re: Kenny Edwards confirmed
There's a photo Jesse out in Facebook, I think from Cas and it had the leaving players. It has Bienik before he was announced as leaving but didn't have Eden or Matagi.
Re: Kenny Edwards confirmed
Good ...Eden makes a difference to are attack when he plays hope he gets over his hamstring problems he will be a big plus for Radford if he's raring to go at start of next season
