Play off picture
So, if Leeds lose at Saints on Friday we will qualify for the play offs if we beat EITHER Hull KR or Warrington, as Leeds play Hull KR on last day of season. Simples
Re: Play off picture
Even after last weeks loss to wigan would rather play them than warrington in playoffs at moment

Wigan next 2 games are Hull and Catalan.... if they were to lose both and we were to win both. 4th isn't off the cards for a home play off.
Leeds could also catch Wigan into 4th.

Re: Play off picture
As I understand it , we have a few chances to reach play - offs now;
1. Easiest and most straightforward is to win at KR next week . This guarantees top 6 irrespective of other results as KR and Hull won't be able to catch us
2.If Leeds lose to Saints , then we can still make play-offs by beating Warrington , even with a loss to KR. There is a slight caveat to this however . If Leeds lose to Saints and KR beat us , then beating Warrington guarantees us a top 6 spot on the proviso that Leeds and KR game takes place and isn't cancelled due to Covid . If that happened we would be out on points difference.
3. If Leeds beat Saints and KR , then we can lose to KR as long as we beat Warrington .

We should be beating both KR and especially Warrington at home with it being the last home league game of the season and the hype around it.

Re: Play off picture
take into consideration that warrington will finish in 3rd whether they win or lose their last 2 games so they may rest a few against us in the final game.

If Cas can't beat Hull KR based on that performance against Leigh (which was like watching a sub championship division game), then Cas don't deserve to retain a top 6 place for me !
Surely if we can get some added spark and quick play, we could put 30 points past them easily !!
Hope our backs can produce some "sleight of hand" moves with Evalds coming into the line to make it happen !!
Trouble is, this year we have produced some very predicable "one man run" rugby that is easily quelled and very little movement which, when we have, it has consistently been heavily relied on with McShane making things happen and quick to spot opportunities, and, if he isn't fit which it looks like it, we may be struggling !! Milner isn't as quick thinking as Macca at spotting defence weakness opportunities, but does provide a decent drive and hope it will be enough to see us through !
If Richardson and O'Brian play, which should be a given, they need to step up big time and mimic McShane or we may be in deep doody !! Just hope they can !

Re: Play off picture
I think shaun kenny dowell n ryan hall are their main strengths so we need to have our right side defence on top form to win this one.
CLASSY CAS FOREVER
Re: Play off picture
I think Olpherts is a weakness in defence gets drawn in to easy n not fast enough to get back out as his winger dives in corner.

He's pretty safe when peanut doesn't jump the line and leave him 2 v 1. His workrate is fantastic, I would love to see his stats in comparison with fairimo at magic. Especially as they had all players linked up.

Re: Play off picture
Saints beating Leeds at the mo 22 0.
Does that mean cas automatically go 5th without playing.

Yeah. Leeds will drop to 52.17%. If we win tomorrow, we go to 54.55. If that happened AND Hull were to beat Wigan at home, they’d drop to 54.17 and we’d go fourth.old cas lass wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 20:12 Saints beating Leeds at the mo 22 0.
