Just read a short article from Derek Beaumont.
He said the cost of the away fixture was £36,000 it would have cost less to forfeit the game and only have been a 24 to nil defeat.
It just underlines that the business model of expansion could contribute to the financial problems of clubs.
Especially as their fans don't travel.
I know the argument that clubs shouldn't rely on away supporters but clubs need every penny.

that sums it up well, catalans should be in their own french league, if the club isnt in the uk forget it.

noticed north wales crusaders are on a great winning run including beating the top 2 to sit 3rd in division 1. nice new ground and building a good base of local amateur clubs and increasing attendances. i'd rather have a welsh team in than over seas and would make a good weekend away.
