Injuries
Milner and Eden both picked up injuries in the defeat to Wigan..
Interesting hearing Powell mention that the club were trying to protect Greg has he played a lot of games in such a short space of time and he mentioned after Hull game it was tightening up at times but then people moan at Powell for not selecting him today to start until he had no choice with Milner injury.

Re: Injuries
So if Eden had been fully fit, Shenton wouldn’t have played.covid tiger wrote: ↑31 Aug 2021, 11:14 Milner and Eden both picked up injuries in the defeat to Wigan..

Don’t think so.
I’m sure before we played hull Powell said Shenton would be back for the Wigan game. So how did he know Eden would be injured before the hull game.

Re: Injuries
If that is the situation with Greg, why put him on the bench? A troublesome hamstring can go at any stage.covid tiger wrote: ↑31 Aug 2021, 11:14 Milner and Eden both picked up injuries in the defeat to Wigan..

Re: Injuries
The fact is, Greg was ready to play and was disappointed at being benched. Coming on late in a game can hamper an injury more than starting a game.
Re: Injuries
Greg is like a thorough bred race horse. He needs a proper warm up before he plays, not just a couple of runs up and down touchline then thrown on cold. I’m an avid supporter of Powell, but I think he got this selection wrong yesterday.

Re: Injuries
It’s not the first time he’s got his selection wrong while he’s been coach.
Re: Injuries
exactly common knowledge hes had hamstring problems . Short turn around ..the changeling wrote: ↑31 Aug 2021, 11:46 And now we may have lost Eden for the Salford Game, If only DP had listened to the forum coaches........
TM Out
Re: Injuries
All this uncertainty could of been avoided had dp come out n said Eden has a niggling injury, i think dp played (in his mind) the safe option of shenny n turner instead of taking it straight to wigan with turner n eden.
Powell has chosen shenny n turner all season unless injury has prevented him so he obviously thinks thats the strongest combo, most of the fans don't agree with it but hes stuck with it.
(copied from other thread seems more relevant on this one)

Re: Injuries
Funny how prior to this game Eden as been just fine while Shenton was out.
But soon as Shenton is fit to play, all of a sudden Eden as hamstring problems. Summat not cutting it with me….gut feeling.

Re: Injuries
Have the club or anyone connected with it put something out about Eden’s hamstring? I must have missed it.

Regarding both comments; Greg has come through the last 4 games unscathed, managed to train with no issues at all and was ready to start on Monday. He was unhappy at being benched in his current form and there was no issues surrounding his hamstring going in to the game at all.

Re: Injuries
Is Jacques O'Neill injured, he hasn't been in the 19 for a long time.
