Re: Wigan
I think for Wigan Shaun wane will be a major factor.
If he’s appointed their coach, I can see Wigan become a better team.
And the crowds will come back to see their messiah (wane), expecting him to carry on were he left off.

Re: Wigan
I looked on the Wigan fans forum this morning and the feeling seemed to be Matt Peet would get the coaches job to replace Lam

One thing is for sure Wigan crowds will be higher than the crowds Cas will generate.Tamworth Tiger wrote: ↑24 Sep 2021, 16:27That’s where I am. I know we all have financial problems but those Wigan fans who stayed away last night will take some persuading to return because they believe they are entitled to success.tigerfeat wrote: ↑24 Sep 2021, 16:16I'd be very surprised if Wigan finish above Cas next seasonSharlotiger wrote: ↑24 Sep 2021, 15:54Pretty sure Wigan will be there or there about next season, but not very confident Cas will be.
I agree that we have got used to expecting more these last few years but I think that we will be able to draw reasonable crowds if the team is playing with pride and belief. Hope I’m right!

Absolutely but their budget will be much bigger than ours and if they have a massive drop in income, they will have a big hole to fill.Sharlotiger wrote: ↑24 Sep 2021, 20:51One thing is for sure Wigan crowds will be higher than the crowds Cas will generate.Tamworth Tiger wrote: ↑24 Sep 2021, 16:27That’s where I am. Indeed
Re: Wigan
Only 7,396 to watch the elimination playoff match last week. I saw a Look North report this week that mentioned the Sheffield Steelers ice hockey team attracted 8,500 for a preseason friendly. If a club like Wigan can only get this figure for the biggest game of the year the game deserves to die. Sick to death of ‘the greatest game’ [REMOVED]… clearly it isn’t. I’d have lost interest in the game a long time ago if it wasn’t for the fact I’ve watched Cas for 40 odd years.Sharlotiger wrote: ↑24 Sep 2021, 20:51One thing is for sure Wigan crowds will be higher than the crowds Cas will generate.Tamworth Tiger wrote: ↑24 Sep 2021, 16:27That’s where I am. Re: Wigan
warringtons attendance v leeds was even worse. i used to go to sheffield and it didn't look as if it would hold that many people but that was 10 years ago so maybe they'extended.alftupper wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021, 16:31Only 7,396 to watch the elimination playoff match last week.
