and this is the difference between cas & st's, Watts get his ban raised on appeal & makinson gets his reduced for a more serious offence.

With this incident and others, you just need to read the reasoning behind some of these punishments or non punishments.
You'll see regular rubbish like:
"high tackle was caused because the ball carrier was slightly slipping on the turf" or you could read it as "player tried to move out of way of high tackle but is still caught"
" Player uses forearm to protect ball being carried in other arm, which accidentally catches the other player in the face" or you could say "player uses elbow/forearm to cause injuries to defending player, causing his season to be over"
It's a matter of perspective and which side do you fall on.
