Re: Danny Richardson
Hope he isn’t allowed to play against us. Those sort of games tend to go wrong!

Re: Danny Richardson
Shame could’ve been different if he was playing with someone like Luke Gale when we had him. Him and Trueman don’t complement each other and that’s why it’s not worked for me. In all honesty I’d be looking to cash in on them both and bring in a more experienced half.

Re: Danny Richardson
I feel for him, he's not had a settled side to work with or a commanding pack. Gale had both and so few injuries to star men, that's why 2017 was so good. I would continue with him and teach him, there's a good player in there and an excellent kicker.
Ultimately Radford is holding the reins at Cas. He'll have all the data and know that he can get better value.

Tbf to him he has been thrown under the bus on more than one occasion this season ...

Yes,
"right Danny, you play with a weakened side and no other half back or Macca. And you must run the entire game, make all the plays, kick all the balls and goal kick. Mess it up and your we'll hang you out to dry, that okay with you?"

Stop talking sense or using facts please. That type of posting is severely frowned at on this site.

Re: Danny Richardson
The lad looks lost on the pitch, granted he has a decent kicking game on his day, and his goal kicking is excellent. But the rest of his general play is poor, looks like he's never had a training session with half the players around him.
Wish him all the best and hope it goes well for him, expect being back closer to his roots is also a big draw for him.

Re: Danny Richardson
Where does this leave us with halfback cover, he is the only one who as played regularly. Certainly can't see Leigh keeping him the following season either if they are relegated so we will still have Danny on our books the following season.
Can't see the logic in this deal at all.

Re: Danny Richardson
Id say the logic is to get him playing matches and hopefully gain some confidence then if he returns for next season he starts again under radford with a clean slate.Sharlotiger wrote: ↑21 Jul 2021, 13:15 Where does this leave us with halfback cover, he is the only one who as played regularly. I hold my hands up i actually thought truey n richardson was guna be a great partnership for years to come n i even thought England call ups would follow but sadly neither have really done anything to make me think this is possible. They did start well together at the beginning of last season before lockdown.

Re: Danny Richardson
I think it is arguably win/win, he isn't playing and when he does, we are not playing well, it is fresh and gets him on the pitch.
Option at the end of the season, but equally option for LR to play the "Powelly didn't fancy you, but I think he was wrong card" as well.
Right now, in our side it just isn't working, but the Danny Richardson we have seen in occasional flashes is still in there.

Re: Danny Richardson
Kyle Flanagan has been offered to clubs and I think he’d be worth a punt for at least a year.

Re: Danny Richardson
Jackson haistings came over out of favour and look how well he’s done. Coming to England may be the best thing for the lad.ERG2012 wrote: ↑21 Jul 2021, 21:31https://www.sportingnews.com/au/league/ ... hz3oj2hnswMrRugby123 wrote: ↑21 Jul 2021, 20:21 Kyle Flanagan has been offered to clubs and I think he’d be worth a punt for at least a year.
Re: Danny Richardson
Would go for him personally he’s a young kid with a point to prove, he played a lot of games last year and was unlucky to miss out on the top point scorer, then ultimately made a scapegoat in between Cronk retiring and young Sam Walker just not quite being old enough.MrRugby123 wrote: ↑21 Jul 2021, 20:21 Kyle Flanagan has been offered to clubs and I think he’d be worth a punt for at least a year.
In all of that though it stands out he’s a point to prove, also there isn’t many options out there.

Re: Danny Richardson
I’d definitely take a punt on him but Trent Barrett denying rumours about him being shopped around. Doesn’t mean it’s not true though, we all know what snakes agents can be working behind clubs backs!

Re: Danny Richardson
Decent kicking and passing game but doesnt want to run with the ball and offers little attacking threat ball in hand, pretty much sums Kyle Flannagan up, does he remind you of anyone, perhaps a bit like a halfback that we are currently unloading to Leigh??
Re: Danny Richardson
Seen him a few times in the NRL and he looked a decent player at that level.

Re: Danny Richardson
Kyle Flanagan is a decent defender (for a half) and although I do see your point I think playing at Sydney last year to looking absolutely lost for us differs a little.westyorkylad wrote: ↑22 Jul 2021, 12:40 Decent kicking and passing game but doesnt want to run with the ball and offers little attacking threat ball in hand, pretty much sums Kyle Flannagan up, does he remind you of anyone, perhaps a bit like a halfback that we are currently unloading to Leigh??
