JSL
2017 his passion for the side was another level. He bought into the town too which I loved. Obviously like most hasn’t lived up to that year BUT yesterday he just looked like he wanted to giveaway penalties. Iv always disliked Leeds over the years for players like JJB, Bailey and Ali. Good players but would sooner get involved on 4th tackle and give away unnecessary possession. Yesterday I really felt that JSL looked like this, Pete could fall under this category at times too
All coaching is, is taking a player where he can't take himself.
Re: JSL
Think rugby is down the pecking order for the lad more interested in selling t shirts and renting houses.
Hopefully be gone next season.

Re: JSL
I actually thoufgt Jessie had a good dig yesterday. He threw himself into make several vital tackles and had a couple of strong carries. Hope he can find his 2017 form

Re: JSL
Was late into tackles and looked off the pace despite coming on off the bench... He got worse season after season for some reason and his time surely is up at Cas.

Re: JSL
I’m gonna reserve final judgement until we get crowds back. Jesse seems the type of player that thrives on the crowd and has looked a little lost since lockdown last year. Who knows, when he gets back into his comfort zone he may just discover a bit of form again. Maybe I’m just kidding myself as he wasn’t great in 2019 either but don’t wanna hang the guy just yet this season without giving him a fair crack.
Re: JSL
i thought jesse went well we all view the game different

Dont think he did much wrong either to be fair.

Re: JSL
I don’t think he offered anything when he came on.
Barely any metres, no tackle busts, no offloads, no post-contact metres, two errors. three missed tackles and two penalties conceded.
The stats don’t lie.

Re: JSL
Absolutely, but they don’t tell the whole story and are open to interpretation so need to be handled with care
Re: JSL
The rest of the squad can breathe a sigh of relief, the "regulars" have their target for this season, bless em

Interesting how different sources have different stats - I know they are down to interpretation.noxandrattles wrote: ↑04 Apr 2021, 10:58no they dont so here they arenottinghamtiger wrote: ↑04 Apr 2021, 00:30 I don’t think he offered anything when he came on.

Re: JSL
I watched the match and he did a damn sight better than last season that's for sure.
Re: JSL
Don't forget his first game of the season aswell same with Hepi. Game time will help him but I also agree with the poster that mentioned that Jesse thrives off the crowd. He is that sort of player. He was great in 2017 as were the whole squad that season. Bit early to write him off after 1 match this year.
Re: JSL
On a serious note. Hes definitely not the player he was 4 years ago but not many are. He still gives it his all and is a good squad player but he wouldn't be a starter unless we get injuries.
