But what is gained by lying about when Wells put his notice in? If he left months ago, just tell the truth, it’s not difficult

He will be coaching Cas this season as Powell and Trueman will be at Warrington this season.

I was told Warrington offered 250k CAS rejected
Now if was rejected cos cas want more or just the fact he's not for sale am not sure we will see I guess

Don't know him personally but I have heard he's happy at cas and only a move to the NRL would temp him and his FAMILY away

Personally anything over 300k I would personally accept on the basis it was put back in the squad I am sure we could transfer a few quid over to bell Vue for Tom Johnson David fafita not that it will happen just what I would do going forward

I personally wouldnt want Fifita (lazy tw@ 9 out of 10 games) or Chocolate Johnson (on the sick all the time) In fact i cant see any Wakey player getting in our team, Maybe that centre (not Lynne, i forget his name, but thats all)

From what I've seen of Powell so far this season he seems relatively at peace with his work at Cas. Happily smiling, both on TV and in images across social media.

Now it could be argued he's like that because of his imminent departure but I get the feeling he's enjoying his work and the people he's working with, safe in the knowledge his future is secure for a while.

He'll only leave if results drop and we have a losing streak.

Or if price goes early let's not for get that ,woudnt be best start to his job if he tells them no as they hold the key to his funds to build at Warrington

If alls true with McDermott coming in early to overlook Powell(not sure how that will go ) then I predict the club won't stand in his way up sticks to Warrington if they come calling ,every time I see price on TV he looks misarable as sin probably can't wait to go home

Is it within the rules for Wire to be approaching Cas with offers for players at this time?

That's exactly how it will pan out. Price will go Powell will take his place and just by coincidence NOT Mcdermot will already be at Cas to step straight into Powells shoes. It's almost like someone as thought about this already :-"

Well, I don’t like the bloke for some of the things he’s said over the past few years but, if he has got the gig, then the balls in his court to prove us wrong and get us onside. We are very fickle at times, as fans, and if we are sitting here in 18 months time with silverware that BM has brought to us all the past will be a distant memory.

Think you'll find he said Cas had not approached him about the job. Doesnt mean he didnt approach them does it :roll:

Think you’d best read the comment again;

But when contacted by Rugby League Live, McDermott responded by saying: "I have had no contact with Castleford."

If that's true make way for the cheap option and a massive step backwards. Championship here we come. McDermott will be the new coach :pray:
