Louis Johnson
Louis Johnson
Despite Warrington paying 45 grand for him and him having a year left on his contract there offering him around other SL clubs
Wonder if we're interested in bringing him back down lane

Re: Louis Johnson
I was just wondering the same - he picked up a bit of SL experience at HKR as well
21 year old i believe and may be worth considering (even if initially for season loan as in his last year)

Re: Louis Johnson
Can't get in at wire and kr don't want to extend his loan. Why on earth would we go for him?
Re: Louis Johnson
In the hope we could turn him into a good player still ?

Re: Louis Johnson
For me, as is the case with any signing, there has to be a discussion and expectation on how/when the player gets a game and development etc. No point going or signing someone who thinks he can walk into team each week but ends up never playing (rarely)

Re: Louis Johnson
He left us in 2017 or earlier. Has played 3 matches for wire and 4 for kr. If he was an aussie kr fans would be going wild about him with that record.
Not progressed in 3 seasons.
We don't need another work in progress.

Re: Louis Johnson
When he was sold, the club were widely criticised on this forum.
Same old ' selling home grown talent '
'Letting future stars go to bigger clubs'.
Firstly. He obviously didn't want to stay and bide his time.
Secondly, we didn't stand in his way.
Personally, can't believe the club will resign him.

Re: Louis Johnson
I say it every time someone goes on about “another youngster gone/not given a chance”. Recently, we’ve had people bemoaning our loss of Luis Johnson and Callum McClelland, but I’ve seen nothing to suggest the club made the wrong decision when we were offered money for them. Both still have time on their side, of course, but at the moment they aren’t the special players some said they would be when they left.stevieblunder wrote: ↑23 Nov 2020, 11:25 When he was sold, the club were widely criticised on this forum.

It’s always happened - Ryan Brierley was supposedly the best half back to come through the club since Hardisty and Hepworth, but again he’s done nothing. Joe Westerman was supposed to be the next Andy Farrell/Paul Sculthorpe; whilst he’s had a decent career, he’s never been an international-standard player.
We’ve now got the same with Bailey Hodgson. He might be a superstar of the future, but he probably isn’t.
I can’t think of one player who Cas have sold and has gone on to improve elsewhere. Even Daryl Clark hasn’t emulated the form he produced in 2014.

Looks like the club were justified in taking the £45,000.
