Apparently we was set to sign him before he went wire
Re: Leilani Latu
Cant see us signing him, imo other teams will offer him more money.

Re: Leilani Latu
Not sure we have nay scope for further signings but on the cost, the player himself has to answer that question. Does he stay unemployed or take a pay cut?
He can of course wait until the right price comes along but in the current climate, how long will he have to wait.

Went on loan to Widnes.
3 games at Wire when they were short of troops.
Released.
Do you seriously want to sign someone with this track record.
Unbelievable.!!!!

Re: Leilani Latu
Definitely falls into the category of not fulfilling early promise, moved from Panthers to Titans on a big money deal where the then coach stated he wanted to build a pack around him, looked a world beater early on, with a string of representative games, aggressive in attack and defence, injury issues and lack of game time at Titans saw his stay cut short by a year and he moved to Wire, where he basically continued to do nothing.
You could argue either way that he's just the sort of player we look at, last chance, shot of redemption etc. Or that he's a waste of shirt who will never re-discover his earlier quality.
Its a matter of perspective and opinion in the end

Powells done well with players with a lot to prove nothing gives him greater pleasure to have people raving about how well a players doing at Cas after he did nothing for his previous clubwestyorkylad wrote: ↑12 Feb 2021, 13:25 Definitely falls into the category of not fulfilling early promise, moved from Panthers to Titans on a big money deal where the then coach stated he wanted to build a pack around him, looked a world beater early on, with a string of representative games, aggressive in attack and defence, injury issues and lack of game time at Titans saw his stay cut short by a year and he moved to Wire, where he basically continued to do nothing.

When he signed for Warrington Price said he wasn't fit and he never really played after that handful of games I think
On the whole I wouldn't take a chance on him
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

Re: Leilani Latu
I fully appreciate DP has shown on many occasions that he can bring out the best in players, players than may have been cast aside by others, but we shouldn't rely on it as our primary recruitment policy.
I'm not saying it's a no but only if the deal was stacked heavily in Cas' favour - cheap, 1 year with option, not looking for anyone else to fill the quota spot.
