Could only happen to Cas
Could only happen to Cas
Here we are again 1st game back down on players o/seas recruit still missing best front rower out( know the club can’t be blamed for his accident) badly required a full back when the other went back home but let’s face the truth certain players not good enough lacking in certain attributes that’s needed for S/L and to add to my rant coulnot give a ... what anyone else think watched the club for many many yrs and still cannot defend the big kicks to the corners and lacking aggression in the forwards ](*,)

It’s one game. Let’s not get too downhearted.
As long as lessons are learned and it acts as a motivation to improve, we’ll still be there at the end of the season.

It’s the way we lost notts.
Lacked everything.
Not sure what positives we can take out of it.
Maybe we can’t play any worse.

Leeds suffered a fair few hammerings in 2017 and won the GF.
There are no positives, but that doesn’t mean the result won’t motivate the players to improve.
It’s a reality check for the players and coaching staff. Sometimes that’s needed.

Players have to look at themselves in training next week.
Least we have 2/3 back.

Every team loses games. In fact, every team loses games badly at some point during the season. Being good enough and finding form at the end of the season is the key.The Firm wrote: ↑08 Aug 2020, 20:27Dream on.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑08 Aug 2020, 18:56I meant challenging for finals.Sharlotiger wrote: ↑08 Aug 2020, 18:49obviously we will be there as there is no relegation.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑08 Aug 2020, 18:37 It’s one game. Didn’t we beat Leeds by 60+ in 2017? They went on to win the GF.

One decent prop, injured due to his own unprofessionalism. The laziest second rower in world rugby. No fullback. A highly paid overseas winger who does a calf putting his socks on. Cheyse ‘tampon’ Blair. I could go on. It will win some games. It will win zero trophies.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑08 Aug 2020, 20:49Every team loses games. I’d love to know how McMeeken can be so anonymous when the chips are down. Don’t the rest of the players give him some ‘encouragement’ to do something? Literally saw him touch the ball once in the second half. The Firm wrote: ↑08 Aug 2020, 22:29One decent prop, injured due to his own unprofessionalism. The laziest second rower in world rugby. Chuck some kids in it’s a nothing season might as well try them now.
Re: Could only happen to Cas
The game is changing, look at the results for the weekend, lots of blowout score with one exception. With the six again rule and no scrums it’s very difficult to get back on top when you lose momentum. We had a good 20 and we well on top but even before peanut went off we slowed down noticeably and we struggling with the pace we had set. Catalan had the game last week which would have helped and once you start to chase the mistakes and penalties/ repeat set come and keep you down. We have always been guilty of pushing too hard at times and this was no exception, some real howlers from some usually reliable players.

It's a nothing season that will still count in the record books for the winner of the title.
I never played sport professionally but my God, I'd never take to the field thinking this isn't worth putting in the effort. I want to win no matter what.
